Do you ever hear Floyd telling you how many TMT hats they sold at his fight? Do you ever hear golden boy talking about how many canelo shirts they sell at his fight? They both sell tons of merchandise they just don't bring it up in their press release about ppv numbers. You start bringing up hats when you bombed and didn't sell ppvs LMAO

Boxing fans arguing over ppv and who is the bigger draw is is asinine. Does it say who the better fighter is? No.

You know who made more than Golovkin and Canelo put together last year? Justin Bieber.
Who care what fighters make, it's not connected to anything.

Who on this forum cares what the split between Golovkin and Canelo ultimately is? Is it going to put a penny into your pocket? People argue enough on here you'd think they were the ones getting a cut.

I agree with you friend.

A lot of people here don't understand that on the promotional point of view a fight become interesting only when people are willing to bet on it because the outcome is uncertain.

Quite honnestly it becomes hard sometimes for a guy like me to justify paying another 100$ to see the same guy destroy another in probably less than 5 rounds for the 24th consecutive time. Especially if am already regular HBO subscriber and will see the fight only next week for it.

Now that Jacobs made "The Drama Show" a little more dramatic, am guessing his ppv sales will keep improving.

Lowering the bar to pretend that jumping over it was a success. Also misleading with the live gate. Lemieux did 2m with cheaper tickets all I heard for why Jacobs didn't sell out was they tripled the ticket prices. So if the prices were 3x lemieux why only 3.7m in live gate? Seems they must of gave a LOT of tickets away for free because the live gate should of been over 4m close to 5m. But putting out a press release saying it ALMOST did double but leaving that info out LMAO

Stop it. What you "heard" was a lie. I took my 14 year old son to the fight and MSG was sold out!!! The GGG merchandise lines were hella crowded. I'm not sure how the PPV will be but I know what my eyes saw at the live event last Saturday.
