The fight was better than expected but the marketing for the fight made it seem like that this was just a place holder for the Canelo fight. Maybe if they had played up the Jacobs cancer survival story you would get a better response from casuals. We heard more about Guerrero's wife when he fought Mayweather than we heard about Jacobs.

Too many angry people rooting for a fight, which was competitive on paper and in the ring, to fail in the box office. A fight between the #1 & #2 in the division. Pathetic people. Fake boxing fans.

I root for all PPVs to fail. Even the ones I deem "PPV worthy" and order. The only reason I subscribe to HBO and SHO is for boxing. And I'm sure I'm not alone. So essentially when I order a PPV fight, I'm being double charged. GGG-Jacobs IMO wasn't a PPV worthy fight and I didn't order it. I would probably order a rematch. But I wasn't all that excited about the one this past Sat.
