Did the article say 'superb performance'? Well, wasn't quite that but GGG eeked out the win, only just. Of course, people debating who won. Top fighters but not quite Hagler and Leonard are they now .... But credit to them, this is a sport where your health is seriously on the line each time.

The fight was better than expected but the marketing for the fight made it seem like that this was just a place holder for the Canelo fight. Maybe if they had played up the Jacobs cancer survival story you would get a better response from casuals. We heard more about Guerrero's wife when he fought Mayweather than we heard about Jacobs.

I root for all PPVs to fail. Even the ones I deem "PPV worthy" and order. The only reason I subscribe to HBO and SHO is for boxing. And I'm sure I'm not alone. So essentially when I order a PPV fight, I'm being double charged. GGG-Jacobs IMO wasn't a PPV worthy fight and I didn't order it. I would probably order a rematch. But I wasn't all that excited about the one this past Sat.
