HHAHAHAH GGG is going to end up making less in the canelo fight, he will regret not taking the 15 million ODH offered him and now i see the GGG fans saying that canelo only wants the fight now cause GGG looked beatable.

HAHAAHAHAHA the GGG fans are the worst scum in boxing.

Well there you have it. For all those who bring up GGG selling out arenas and thinking he's bringing in a lot of revenue. Gate revenue and sales= around $4 million, if it hits 200k ppv buys at $70= 6.3 mil after HBO and the cable providers take their cut. Not counting sponsors, that's a little over $10 mil the fight produced. Jacobs and GGG's combine purse was 4.25 mil not counting the other fighters pay. So that would leave K2 with around $5 mil left to recover expenses for promoting the fight. GGG might be popular and sell tickets but he surely isn't bringing in a lot of money.

Eric Gomez, President of Golden Boy Promotions, says his company is very pleased with the early buyrate numbers for last Saturday's HBO Pay-Per-View event, which featured Canelo Alvarez vs. Liam Smith from AT&T Stadium in Texas.

what canelo did with smith was almost double what GGG did with lemmy and jacobs.

but GGG is a draw doe.

Do you ever hear Floyd telling you how many TMT hats they sold at his fight? Do you ever hear golden boy talking about how many canelo shirts they sell at his fight? They both sell tons of merchandise they just don't bring it up in their press release about ppv numbers. You start bringing up hats when you bombed and didn't sell ppvs LMAO

That being said, Golovkin alone is as big a draw as Kovalev and Ward together. (Prior to this fight, Jacobs had very few fans of his own, he and Quillen together couldn't fill a stadium in their home town). That's pretty good.
I like how you ******s blame Jacobs for the PPV. Jacobs got $1.75 mil, that's less than ****ing Lemieux got paid.

What you talking about moron? Kovalev isn't any bigger of a draw than Jacobs.

Too many angry people rooting for a fight, which was competitive on paper and in the ring, to fail in the box office. A fight between the #1 & #2 in the division. Pathetic people. Fake boxing fans.
