I think having a fight in the UK is becoming a rite of passage for American fighters at this point. Bradley, Crawford, Wilder, Spence and Davis are five of the best known active American fighters and they all had or will have a bout over here (plus Ward was pretty keen on rematching Froch in London at one point)

Where ever the pay more. Plus Errol is the Challenger.

The reason why Lacy is brought up is because more often than not is that the Americans that travel over here are mediocre as hell or actually just completely swallow it like a Charles Martin (who knows how good he is but he simply can't be as bad as he showed against AJ). At least Lacy had some hype behind him. Even Brook himself took GGG because Vargas wanted the earth to fight Kell to the point it was preferable to take a hiding from GGG at middleweight.

Tim Bradley is the best American who has fought over here in about a decade. Ronald Wright is the other top dog who had a short stint over here and bashed up some decent Brits.

As Americans used to refer to the horizontal Brits, we, actually get the horizontal Americans. The fact that Errol is coming over is great. And there is even a silver lining there for British boxing if he wins since it will encourage other Americans to come over. Top Americans. Basically it will provide another venue for the really big fights to be made.

We don't want Charles Martin types coming over here and selling their belts. People like Gary Russell Jr should be fighting Frampton over here - that kind of thing should be happening simply because there is money here now for boxing.

That's nothing but a pipe dream. Americans only come over if they're paid ****** money. Otherwise they really are scared of travelling.

Spence is only coming over due to him being mandatory and Hearn having more money. After all the hype about him, it really would have looked silly if he refused to come over.

Charles Martin, lol! To be fair no one was hyping him up or rating him that highly. But still to go out the way he did man, lol, that was a terrible embarassment. He totally embarassment not just the American Boxing fanbase, but the USA as a whole population. Like where the fuuk was his national pride?
