Not to forget the PPV was available to order and stream online on Ring TV, will they even release these numbers? Everyone who doesnt have an HBO subscription or just people who wanted to watch on their Computer, Tablet, etc ordered it online. Could easily be another 20-50k.

Floyd may have been speaking off of the cuff, but he pegged the Mayweather-Pacquiao PPV number at almost 5m PPV buys, after the initial estimate of the number being 4.4m. Richard Schaefer, I can't think of the actual article off the top of my head, had the final ODLH-Mayweather PPV number etched into memory; would bet that Schaefer's number is significantly different from what was mentioned immediately.

Folks are talking about numbers that get hinted at before even the first bills are paid; waiting for the actual numbers to come in would be a wait that most folks don't bother with, so the run with the first estimates as fact when they're not.
OK, so 600k more over the 4.4 million buys. This fight however, will be significantly less as far as numbers coming in later. I think a max of 150k is safe to assume

If you honestly believe that any cable operator is going to fron all of the money to a promoter (and leave the risk of recouping in their own hands), you're an idiot.

The money gets split as the money comes in; first check is the biggest one, the next few are smaller, and then the money comes in as dribbles until the money is all settled.

And the split largely doesn't change; 45% to the promoter, 45% to the cable/satellite operator, 10% to HBO/Showtime

PPV final numbers might increase a bit once they finish counting. Merchandising and sponsorship also generated more income, according to the reports.

Don't let you be fooled by haters.

That's great to see. Always good for the sport when a PPV fight makes more money than anticipated.

pretty much. it's been a long time since I've bought a PPV, but the sports bar is as good a gauge as any; Golovkin-Jacobs was able to draw a good crowd, but the crowd was significantly smaller than the crowd for Alvarez-Smith (was out of town for Kovalev-Ward, but the Dave&Busters I ended up finding had a pretty strong crowd watching the fights) so didn't expect the event to do all that well.

Personally, I think the range is going to shrink 100k-125k come the HBO replay.

Fight did more for GGG than for Jacobs.

The reaction from the canelo cunts was why GGG kept wanting to look vulnerable.

You're an idiot...same reason why he looked vulnerable vs brook too?
