GGG vs Jacobs sells more than GGG-Lemieux (PPV+Gate)

LA Times reports that GGG-Jacobs sold the same amount of PPVs than GGG-Lemieux, but at a higher price ($65 instead of $49) the income is bigger.

Also, the MSG was almost full and the gate was 3.7 millions, compared to 2 millions from GGG vs Lemieux.

PPV final numbers might increase a bit once they finish counting. Merchandising and sponsorship also generated more income, according to the reports.

Don't let you be fooled by haters.

    Edit:

Lloefler confirms the final number is 170k.

I still laugh at the term "once they finish counting". It's 2017. Get a god damn report, dump it into excel and press the autosum button. TADA

There are threads saying GGG vs Lemieux sold more. Which is totally false.

          Good.

So more people watched him get a GIFT decision vs a guy he was supposed to blow out.

They don't call him Gennady Gift Golovkin for nothing I suppose.

Weren't tickets like 3x the price of the Lemieux fight but the revenue isn't even 2x? How many did they give away?

That's an extraordinary number. Given the fact, that Jacobs was a virtual unknown and not a box office draw without much of a fan base or huge following. GGG was forced to carry this promotion almost single handledly.
