Will Golovkin get the same criticism as Ward if he doesn't rematch Jacobs ASAP?

Why would GGG put himself at such a huge disadvantage like that?

technically he is already at that disadvantage fighting Jacobs. Jacobs likely won't grow any bigger but he might not be able to lose the weight as easy as he grows older, and when i say catchweight I am saying that they can fight at 162/163, it isn't like Jacobs magically by next year won't be able to make that weight... but maybe he won't who knows.

It's pretty funny to see the haters doing these mental gymnastics talking about a rematch taking place at 168 because Jacobs is too big for 160 lol yeah, let's make the fight at 168 so Jacobs can come in at 190 and have GGG come in at 175.

Like I said before, such demands are only allowed for actual great fighters. Holding GGG to such standards is implying he's great. He's already proven he's just a belt collector. He's good, but I doubt he wants to be great. He wants to collect belts and get low risk high reward fights. Like willing to fight Chavez Jr at 168 for no belt, no resume building, just PPV/money/popularity, but wasn't willing to fight Ward.

Yes, other fighters didn't have a rematch clause and still honored boxing by rematching their opponent based on their performance of the first fight and fans wanting the rematch. But those were great fighters.

How often is a catchweight proposed by the A side to give the B side an advantage? It's down right ridiculous to even suggest it.

"Oh poor Danny, he's just to big to make 160, won't someone cut him a break?"

It wasn't close, the judges flatter Jacobs. It was competitive in the same way nelo v Floyd was.

GGG won and it wasn't controversial.
Only reason for rematch is if fanbs were entertained a nd would like to see again.
On that basis if 3g wants its up to him in his own time

usually catchweight can be evened out with $$$$$$. it has happened before but you are right A side never gives up on weight but they have gone up to make mega fights which the rematch could become depending on what DJ and GGG do. (just look at Manny's career)

There you go. The rematch is unnecessary. GGG is not that great as confirmed by this poster. I agree.

Fans need to move on. End thread here.

The important difference is that Ward-Kovalev had a rematch clause in the original fight contract, Golovkin-Jacobs didn't. Jacobs does deserve a rematch, but i'd rather see Golovkin get the final belt and then face Canelo first.
