Will Golovkin get the same criticism as Ward if he doesn't rematch Jacobs ASAP?

I've heard so many people give Jacobs the 12th even though he landed half the punches at half the connect rate. How does that equate to winning the round I have no idea.
Or give rounds to the cool and famous guy... or a lot of fanboys defending him of the reality: a very close fight where Jacobs was near to be the winner.

No way Jacobs will do the weight in 2018.

He is draining him to make the 160 pounds. He is a big guy.

        Immediate rematch is necessary

I honestly haven't seen many say it wasn't a close fight. Anyone with a rational understanding of the sport knows it was close. I did see someone have it 8-4 Jacobs though lol. I'm sure there are the crazy GGG fans that have it similar as well

I don't think he should. Ward-Kovalev was much more contraversial. Most though Kovalev won.

On the other hand, GGG clearly won the fight. Only debate which is reasobable is it by a round or more..

have you considered a rematch at a catchweight? because that is also possible hance wouldn't be heart broken if immediate rematch didn't happen

Or a rematch at 168. If GGG beats Canelo clearly, there is no reason for him to stay at 160 and HE SHOULD MOVE UP. Now the $$$ in a Canelo rematch may keep him at 160, but beyond that and a Jacobs rematch, I will criticize GGG if he doesn't move up.

Jacobs has plenty of time in his career for the rematch, but GGG doesn't have a lot of time to build up a career more suited to the HOF.

Lol Jesus, the haters are out in full force after recovering. The fight just happened three days ago, calm down. In GGG's eyes the best possible fight out there is BJS because of the WBO belt. The second most obvious fight is Canelo because it's literally the biggest fight to be made in the sport right now. Yes, Jacobs deserves a rematch but unlike Ward he has better options out there.

If you were to poll boxing analyst I'm sure more would have Kovalev beating Ward than Jacobs beating GGG.

I hate rematches regardless of who the fighters are. The fight already happened, it already gave me an idea how it would go. Thus, there's no more point. We don't have nine lives. I'd rather see other fantasy fights become reality than these ****** rematches.

Having said that and like I already stated in another thread, hate clouds judgment.

This is apples and bananas because Jacobs is not pressing for an immediate rematch; there's no rematch clause, which neither guy probably wanted in the first place; negotiation will take more time because Jacobs would want a long layoff.

                      Apples and bananas.
