Agree. They mentioned a few times that they will be the bigger fighter, and it sounds like it was one of the main strategies.Could have said at the negotiation table you didn't want to fight for the IBF title and there wouldn't have been a 2nd day weighin.
But im assuming also part of the plan was to control Golovkin's weight and to make sure he didn't rehydrate like he wanted to.
Wouldn't call it cheating (like some posters I know) but a cheap tactic that in the end didn't work.Comment

The fight didn't have ibf involvement at all if Danny wasn't fighting for it. The belt would stay with GGG and he wouldn't have to do the weigh in.Comment

MFers act like ggg didn't run around talking about 168 for FOUR YEARS

Jacobs was confirmed to be mid 180's bybHBO
Jacobs plan all along was to be a weight bully and he survived the 3rd round beating because of it.Victor Conte and you own team said that was the plan all along, that you had at least 10lb + on GGG.. easy to figure out for everyone, even Kellerman said in the broadcast that his team said Jacobs will be 180+.. look at the face of his trainer when Jacobs said .. err probably 175.. LOL.. yeah buddy.. if you were 175 you would have stepped on the HBO scale.. boy was 182-186 and still afraid to engage and got dropped and his face turned into pumpkin pie.Comment

GGG is small and would have re hydrated the same anyway right?Could have said at the negotiation table you didn't want to fight for the IBF title and there wouldn't have been a 2nd day weighin.
