Seems like it's not only a part of black american culture, but that's a part of white american culture as well, considering all these threads where people talking **** about Ward so don't bring up "culture" as an excuse. Slang, language, art, music, movies of your people - that would be considered part of your culture, not **** talking - that'd be a part of your mentality, ask that in any part of the world. The part of your mentality you can't be proud of
For americans, jokes about your parents are okay, in my world you can get ****ed up for that kind of talk, maybe even get killed, depends on who you talk to, so why I should respect the "culture" that contradicts mine?
Disrespecting other people and bringing up culture as an excuse for that, I'm just not having it. Your culture have better things to offer to the world than that, you have a great music and a lot of other things, **** talking is not a culture
I think the Russian boxers are some of the toughest fighters in the world, its like they are crossed with some Kodiak bear blood lol, I like them a lot they are very respective of others and can fight like fck.
And Im an Aussie so no bias here .

It's disgusting ggg fans attribute scoring of this fight to expectations. The people that think ggg lost did so based solely on the fight. He didn't lose because he didn't get a ko.
Ggg fans That think he won bring up Race, culture, nationality, compubox, pre fight expectations, and weight more than they do what actually happened in the ring during the rounds of the fight.
You guys kept telling Floyd fans and Ward fans to accept that people felt they lost. You and other ggg fans should follow your own advice.

And I'm speaking on my culture exclusively, I'll let a white person speak on theirs. You don't have to respect a culture that contradicts yours but you also can't expect people to change theirs because it contradicts yours. **** talking isn't part of my mentality, it's a part of my culture. Do you think Eddie Murphy just made this scene up in his head???
If you take it as disrespect that's because we come from different places. Not being able to take a joke and play the dozens is seen as a weakness in my culture. If you feel the need to fight over jokes you deem disrespectful I hope you're a tough guy cuz you'll be fighting all day
I had to edit this because I just thought about a part you said.

People who talk trash about Ward and Golovkin on this site are not trying to be funny, they're trying to discredit fighters to the point where they look like they're obsessed with people they hate so much, that **** is ******. I don't want to talk about the mentality of different group of people, I talk about posters here. When I mock Golovkin in that thread (https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...d.php?t=740384) you can say it's funny and you can say it has some humour in it, but if I was making 543093409 threads everyday, hating on Ward/Golovkin/Kovalev/any other fighter, trying to discredit them, that'd be a problem then. You see the difference?
Anyway, I see you're a sensible person, I'm just not interested in that conversation anymore since the other thread was closed.

That is a very arrogant statement. Even after I explained to you what a part of MY culture is. You still come back and tell me it's not. And you use try to validate that statement by the using the opinions of other people who know nothing about MY culture.

For example, Germans are known for being hard-working and not talkative - that's their mentality, that's how they perceived in the world and how they tend to be like.
Things like baroque or musicians like Wagner is a part of their culture.
Check both of these words in the dictionary, maybe you have some different definitions of terms "culture" and mentality, then I'd love to hear them, but I guess the same defintions applies to all groups of people, doesn't matter their origin or where they live or you say the world "culture" would have different definition when it's related to you?
The way how people act is not a culture, it's the mentality
The culture is how they express themselves
You can't say the words would have a different meanings when it's applied to youLast edited by g27region; 03-20-2017, 07:58 PM.
