Accept it. Roman Gonzalez got whooped by a rubbish collector. A rubbish collector that's never fought outside of Thailand and never been the 12 round distance.

12 x 3 minute rounds. Out of the 12 rounds Sor most definitely won 2 minutes and 15 seconds of each round for 10 rounds, with Roman trying to steal rounds towards the end. By my calculations Sor comprehensively beat Gonzalez for 27 minutes of a 36 minute fight.

Do yourself a favor and go on volunteer to be a judge so you can LEARN a thing or two about the sport.

You reveal your ignorance on the topic, Rungvisai fought in Japan and was robbed of his title in Mexico - Jubei shared a video on the punch count, as I already mentioned even that count was being generous to Rungvisai and I don't even like the guy and I criticized that YT channel but the count reflects what compu-box recorded! but you guys just want to discredit Roman and dont care to be objective about it.

Lastly as I mentioned you guys lack comprehension on boxing criteria, Rungvisai had horrible defense -- virtually none.

Sor was 9/2 going into the 10th round & because I can actually score a fight, I won myself some beer tokens and a lovely Sunday roast. If Gonzalez won, it would have been one of the worst robberies ever.

It's like Russia has a room full of trolls at work on this forum.
Oh never mind -- I see what you did there, nice troll. Cheers.

lol 25% troll & 75% truth. 27 minutes to Sor, 9 minutes to Gonzales. That's what I remember offhead but I'm going to watch it when I get indoors.

Did he get robbed vs Cuadras in Mexico or did he face someone else.

The cartel kidnapped his wife in Tijuana and threatened to sell her into slavery. He had no choice but to give them what they wanted.

I'm not going to lie before the fight I had to BoxRec him & all his fights were based in Thailand.
It's so refreshing to see unheralded talent come from forgotten parts of the world.

Anyone that studies film or makes highlights on youtube can study the film and select the clean punches between the two and I assure you as I already done the work they would not equal. Then we need to take into consideration the other principles in judging criteria ; defense, ring-generalship -- who used the ring who was defensive minded? whos technique had more success in the fight? remember headbutts are not a part of boxing, holding is not allowed.

All I heard was that Rungvisai was the bigger man and that his punches 'hurt' more -- yeah naturally being bigger they would. The problem is we are going by boxing criteria : clean punches, effective aggression ( not reckless aggression ). If RG landed a two punch combo and Rungvisai land one good shot according to their logic Rungvisai would win -- never mind his poor defense whilst Gonzalez was picking off shots, rollings, ducking, blocking ect...these standards are ridiculous.
Not every punch is equal, and ring generalship matters.

Two of Roman's punches don't overcome one of Rungvisai's is Rungvisai's is much harder and does more damage.

Roman got bullied, for much of the fight, which was incredible to watch because he went to war and wouldn't break.

Tell me how many times you seen RG head get snapped back or when did he get folded by body shots or when did he turn his back and run? : clean punching is the criteria you didn't mention defense because Rungvisia barely had in in getting a compubox-rec broken on him, to anyone that tries to discredit the stats its too late the punch count video a page back supports it.

You guys have ridiculous and unfounded arguments by this standard as I already mentioned, you disregard defense and if Gonzalez lands a three piece combo snapping the Thai's head but if the Thai gets one solid in -- that doesn't even snap Gonzalez head...then he wins? are you guys fans of boxing? and you talk about ring-generalship thats debatable as both men like fighting in the inside however the one with superior - effective technique in the pocket was 'Chocolatito'.

I don't think it was an outrageous robbery but I think Gonzalez won. The Thai fighter was dangerous early but I got the impression that his punches lost power later in the fight. He threw a lot of arm punches that to me at least didn't hurt Gonzalez like they did earlier. One thing I noticed was Gonzalez started fighting late in some of the rounds. The judges score the fight round by round not total punches. They must have figured a late rally wasn't enough to win the round.
