Why do ggg fans and some white posters make liking him a lithmus test? There is nothing wrong if a boxing fan doesn't like ggg. There are far better fighters that the groups I mentioned above do not like. If it's ok for you guys to make choices, it's ok for other posters to make choices as well.

It is not a requirement of being a boxing fan to like ggg. His fans and the white nationalists need to accept this and just watch and enjoy him and stop using ggg as a symbol for your deep seeded insecurities.

Does it bother some people that a White man is the face of boxing?
Is it because he doesn't engage in trash talk?
Or are people just going to say it's his resume?

What is there not to like? We are very lucky to be in this era to witness a supreme boxer like GGG.

I would say it's mostly his fans/media who they feel overrate him. There's also been this divide that the Mayweather-Pacquiao era created. Now their fans are moving on to other fighters and hate on the opposing fan's fighter for no reason. Some of it may have to do with race as well. I don't know. I think any rational, objective boxing fan appreciates GGG and recognize that he is great for the sport and is one of the fighters who is defining the post May/Pac era.

What people don't like about ggg is his rabid fanbase. They are literally the new PacFU.CKS and its annoying to encounter.

The other thing is the hypocrisy. Ward must come down to gennady (even though gennady called Ward out) and Canelo must go up (even though Gennady called him out) coupled with his financial demands...50% vs Canelo even though he's not the product he thinks he is - you can literally buy seats for tonight's fight right now...and it's only a few hours away. Yet when Danny Jacobs demanded more money he was "ducking"...but when gennady demands more money...Canelo is "pricing himself out".

GGG is good for boxing. He is must watch TV. If you are a boxing fan you have to at least admire his over all boxing skill and ability.

He is a very exciting fighter with devastating KO power. In addition, he has a crowd pleasing style which is never boring. So I don't understand what is there not to like about him.

Overall, I think he is very nice guy with a lot of cross over and commercial appeal. I would just love to be his promoter.
