It is the point. We already know he's willing to sit out 2 years. He doesn't give a **** what Kovalev, Szef, PBP, Mathed or Red Foxx says.

That's what I'm saying, who is that really going to hurt in the end? Kovalev will fight some other guys and Ward will be stripped of the titles which Kovalev will likely win back as soon as they are vacant.

It's time for Ward to stop acting like an entitled 5 year old. The sport won't cease functioning because Ward wants to hide in a crib for 2 years over a hurt ego.

Sure, I'd love to see a rematch but I don't think Kovalev should end up paying Ward for the privledge of fighting him in his own backyard with his family members as judges all for the sake of placating Ward and his fragile ego. Especially when I feel that Kovalev was robbed in the first bout.

But this situation isn't like anything we've seen in the past from Ward. He signed a prefight agreement, he can't just say fck it and move on to another opponent without serious consequences. So if Kovalev laying low and not saying a thing is the only chance for us to get a rematch I say fck it, no rematch then.

Why? Because that's not what kind of person Kovalev and everybody, including Ward, knows it. History won't forget that and in the end Ward will be the one who's lost the most. It will tarnish his entire legacy.
