Haymon wouldn't have turned down the $15m out of hand, but he damn well sure would've put K2 on the search to see what the different pieces of the deal could be worth (ie what would the EU/Russian/Kazakh TV rights be worth and would Golden Boy throw them in, etc) and presented the options.

In the end, I'm pretty sure that Haymon would've had Golovkin sign the offer the moment that Alvarez-Chavez Jr sold out T-Mobile Arena in a few weeks.

Between the disclosed purses, the likely costs for the rest of the show, and the costs of putting on the event, among other costs, you're talking about an outlay of at least $5m-$6m before counting any revenues.

With Haymon looking after Daniel Jacobs' piece of the pot, how much beyond the guarantee to you honestly see Golovkin actually getting? lol

honestly I dont know and I dont care. Thats HIS problem. I dont spend my days counting another mans money

Alvarez's guarantee was what it was, but Alvarez owns the Mexico TV deal, and his company's relationship with Golden Boy is a deal where his final take is 80% of the US money (after costs), on a fight that ended up selling over $5m at the live gate, and clearing another $10m off of the PPV (after giving the distributors/HBO their share).

If you really believe that Alvarez only got $3.5m on the Liam Smith fight, you're a fool.

Alvarez controls his events; if his 80% of the take deal ends up with him getting $100m, so be it; Alvarez has the proven business history to get that demand.

        Golovkin doesn't

Does any non-fanboy/non-hater actually believe Oscar offered &/or GGG turned down $15M for this theoretical fight?

I mean Tom L. seems too reasonable & is a very professional & respectable man in this sh^tty business of boxing to me & GGG is 34 years old with his career burning daylight. So win or lose vs Canelo he likely increases his paydays after that fight, unless he just gets embarrassed somehow which is possible I guess, but I wouldn't bet on it so the sooner he beats or loses to Canelo the more popular he'll be & the more better paydays he can get in the future on top of this career best payday, regardless if its $8M or $24M or what the f#ck ever. Meanwhile GBP has been throwing misdirection news & quote for over a year about GGG vs Canelo looking like a old lady with her kitchen on fire. Maybe I'm nuts, but $15M is bs or there are some nutty ass small print on that alleged contract that makes Tom L say f#ck that silly sh^t.

you dont know that. You havent the slightest idea what the business arrangement between GGG Promotions and K2 is.

Now if you have some proof that you would like to share, feel free to do so

            But I'm guessing you dont.

It's too much. Idk wtf GBP were thinking when they first offered that. That's way too much money. Where are they getting $15 mill for GGG? They think the PPV will miraculously make 1 mill ppv or more, it won't, it will do around 600-750k. And remember half of that goes to the networks.

Not including PPV Buy money of course but those numbers I honestly expected MORE for BOTH. It was certain people just trying to mock Danny Garcia and Thurman getting 2 Million Each a few weeks ago now look at these numbers? WTF!

This is more FUEL for GBP and Canelo with their Bull**** Flat offer unfortunately for K2 and GGG

lol of course he wont, thats the story of his career.

Mad canelo won the belt at a catchweight, but he had no issue accepting that step aside money nor did he have a problem putting HIS TITLE ON THE LINE AT A CATCHWEIGHT for rosado either lol but if someone else does it "NO NO NO they not respect boxing" lmfao
                    Cuadras is making 100k!

dont you know? GBP is a 501C3 charitable organization, and their goal is to go around offering to overpay underprivileged fighters across the globe.

They are very disappointed that K2 hasnt accepted yet, because they were really looking forward to losing a bunch of money.
