What else should Rigo do? He's basically done all he should lol.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Mike Tyson yet. He could have been the greatest heavyweight ever.

I honestly thing he is very overrated.
Lacked size length and and chin to be the GOAT.
He was the most spectacular glass cannon in the history of boxing.

Fighting one decent opponent his whole pro career is all he should do? For reals? Come on...

I'm not going to play the blame game but imagine what a legend he would be if he fought all the guys that ducked him, that his management screwed up fights with, or that are near enough to his weight that he could have fought. He'd likely have won all those fights and would be legend status. Instead, he's talked about in "would have/could have" threads, and he's not even retired yet. That's rough.

Tyson actually went REALLY far considering his limitations. When a guy who is so undersized for his weight class becomes such a dominant, world-famous champion, you call that an overachiever.

You would have to play the blame game to understand the guys situation. He tried fighting those other champions but clearly ducked him, what should he do? He's already competing in a weight class that's 1 or 2 above his natural weight, you can't expect him to go up can you?

                Kenny Rainford

Even though he was on PEDs when he knocked out Brian Sutherland, he still knocked out arguably the greatest light heavyweight that ever lived. Rainford should have went onto become the greatest P4P fighter in history but instead he finished his career a pedestrian 11-3 and retired in obscurity

Tyson employed a style that worked very well for his size and in the end it wasn't his size that cost him but his own work ethic, poor management and incarceration. Cmon, he was a shadow of his former self after prison and even after he fired Kevin Rooney he was going backwards. He could have been so much greater, I don't know about the greatest but he definitely would have been close.

Actually Muhammad Ali could go on this list as well. In my eyes he's the greatest heavyweight ever but he could have been even better if he hadn't got his licence suspended for those few years. Those were Ali's prime years and he had to sit them out.

                      lol wut

he's virtually in every top 3 of all-time list ever in the history of the sport by any and everybody

and he probably sits at the very top on the majority of those lists

                      if that's underachieving...
