I think so too. I wasn't impressed with Canelo in that fight. Lara just had to be a little more aggressive and I think he would have swayed the judges. The fix was in on that one I'm afraid.

So let me get this straight. Lara spent a majority of the fight running from Canelo after he felt those body shots and ended up with 15 stitches on his face but Lara won. OKAY

No way lmao you don't win when you literally sprinting away from your opponent and landing a career worst single digit punches per round that have nothing on it because you scared to plant. This is not amateurs and you can't win pro fights especially at the championship level like that.

Lara is salty because he thought he had no problems with Canelo because he was the superior boxer. When he got in the ring with him he quickly found out that it wasn't the case. He became timid when he felt those body shots plus ended up with 15 stitches above his eye. Canelo didn't have a cut on his face and his stamina didn't fail him.

Lara is relaxing, enjoying the rest of the year with no fight coming. Typical Haymon fighter. He destroys semi-retired Yuri Foreman without getting scratches and he's in no rush to take another fight. These are the kind of fighters this sport have now. There are many of them, Charlo brothers, Williams, etc. loitering around doing nothing.

It was calculated he felt canelos power and ran refused to be a "little more aggressive" because that would open him up to more canelo counter punches and he gets knocked out. Did you see the angulo fight? Dropped twice so he stayed on his bike running away from Canelo.

Overall punch stats were equal but canelo had huge advantage in power punches landed. One guy ran backwards landing a weak jab here and there while the other guy came forward making the fight, more aggressive and landed all the power shots and busted Lara eye. When you fight like this you have no one to blame but yourself led to fans booing you, judges go against you and you branded a boring runner. Even fans who were rooting against canelo said after that fight I will never pay to see Lara fight again. He did it to himself. If he fought like a man even if he gets knocked out his career is in better shape today because fans would want to see him again.

I'm going to watch that fight again. As I recall Lara as is his typical fashion was on his bike quite a bit. I'm a Canelo fan but I just wasn't impressed with his performance against Lara. Couldn't hit a moving target I guess.
