You dont win a fight shuffling backwards. It may look cool but its boxing not an Electric Boogie Battle. Neither man looked great but this was definitely a fight you have to give the guy coming forward the win.

It's an ok fight..Peterson is credible as a borderline top 10 guy. He's in most people's rankings between 8th-12th best welterweight.

It's a good fight after a 'big' fight against Garcia. Will keep Thurman sharp, staying busy. If he does a rematch after, I'd rather see a rematch with Porter, not Garcia.

Man, too bad this fight doesn't make sense for FL. I'd love to go watch it live. 😭
They've had Degale-Dirrel in Boston for Christ sakes. There's definitely a chance you get to see this one live lol.

I had Garcia beating Peterson...but it was a close fight. Peterson looked better at the end, but it was too late.

This is a very intriguing match up for both fighters. The question I have for Keith is will he have enough power to keep Peterson from walking him down and backing him up while fighting on the inside?

Also, how will he handle fighting at short range against one of the better infighters at the 147lb division, because Danny Garcia certainly didn't have enough power to keep Lamont from walking him down on the inside nor could he fight him at short range either?

Lastly, the question I have for Peterson is how will he start his attack. Will he mount his inside offensive much earlier than usual without giving away too many of the early rounds or would he just rather attempt to out box Thurman early in the bout and mount his inside game later in the fight per usual?

I don't know about that man but it's very possible. I mean when Pete fought aggressively against Danny Garcia, he ate and walked through all his shots without so much as flinching. This even happened at a time when Danny Garcia was highly touted for his superb timing and accuracy. Not to mention, being one of the best counter punchers in the sport as well. However, I agree. Until they fight, we will all just have to wait and see what happens.

Lamont will box well! Even hurt Keith to the body. A lil scare but then Thurman makes critical adjustment and walks down LP and finishes him!
