Sounds like they've been training hard. Abel Sanchez has talked about Jacobs with respect and so has Golovkin. No reason to not try to set up more fights.

They'd be opposed because it would be putting the fight in jeopardy. All this under the assumption the fight is finalized. Injury, cuts, a loss, all for a fight their target audience doesn't care about. The Saunders fight is irrelevant to the people buying PPV's.

Exactly they already confirmed that HBO isn't even giving them a ppv for the June fight. Nobody cares about this fight and it's always available after you fight canelo and as a backup late summer if the canelo fight can't be reached. There is no downside trying to make the canelo fight first which any promoter/manager worth a damn would tell their clients. It's all risk little reward trying to squeeze a Saunders fight last minute. Saunders should be strictly your plan B option only amateur promoter would prioritize this ahead of a 15m canelo super fight. But once again you see why K2 can't make big fights with anyone.

You don't care but Golovkin has wanted to have a big fight in his home country for a while and this is a good opportunity. He cares about this

there is no valid reason for Golden Boy to try and block GGG fighting in June. He could just as easily get injured in training / sparring as he could in a fight. He could even pull a Judah and get injured in the shower.

If GGG doesnt fight Saunders in June, pretty much any chance of unifying will go up in smoke. If he sits until Sept, not only will he lose the chance at Saunders belt, but he would also lose his IBF title because he will have a mando due and Canelo is NOT a unification bout, so it would not take priority over the mando.

If all he wanted was to unify before fighting Canelo then he could of done that last year instead he cheaped out and fought Wade because he didn't want to pay saunders. He could of fought Saunders in March instead of Jacobs if he wanted to unify. Saunders has been available to sell his belt for a year and a half but now that Canelo 15m offer is on the table he gives a phuk about Saunders belt MORE then a Canelo fight? Meanwhile just a week ago he once again begged and name dropped Floyd a retired Welterweight. If he chooses Saunders instead of Canelo with 15m on the table I don't want to hear you bytching about Canelo or anyone else ducking him. Canelo gave him 15m offer and he still won't sign and want's to punt the Canelo fight to 2018 risking losing the Sept date.

That's cool then stop name dropping fighters, stop saying guys are ducking you and go fight for 2m in fight in a country nobody cares. My beef is GGG and his camp talk a lot of shyt and have repeatedly found new and creative ways to kill big fights. Nobody is ducking this guy he has offers for big fights and whether he doesn't want to budge on weight, money, date ect he doesn't get them. That's on him. Canelo offered him a fortune and he rather fight for peanuts against saunders in a fight HBO already said will not them a PPV for. LMAO

So from a business perspective why does GBP have to assume the risks associated with Trip fighting in June when Trips reasons for fighting in June are to pursue personal goals (Kazakhstan fight/unification).

I get the logic that K2 has and if they went that direction that's fine...but to maximize profit from a Trip Alvarez ppv, they will need more than 3 months of promotion plus there is the risk of injury.
