In boxing, there is nothing fans seem to love more than seeing a fighter "exposed." It validates their desire to feel smarter than the matchmakers, gives them the sense that they saw something trainers didn't see...

Beating Stevens means what exactly? He is a fringe contender at best.

I give Lemieux credit for being a SOLID b class fighter.

B class, but SOLID. And also a very entertaining fighter.

That's about right. I appreciate him for being an entertaining fighter who goes looking for the KO and more often than not, gets it. You don't have to think a guy's some kinda HOFer to appreciate them.

Ah theres nothing to beat the lazy arrogance of a boxing fan sitting on the sidelines dissing a fighter.
Lemieux not in the top 30? Stevens a fringe fighter?

Did either of you watch the fight?

Boxrec's competerized rating system puts Lemieux at #3 and Stevens at #26 - which seem defensible. I'd love to see Lemieux fight Canelo and think he'd have a good chance of scoring an upset.

Lemieux is #3 the computer told me. It also told me Canelo is the best fighter in the world and Mayweather is the greatest ever.
