all the people whining about this are full of it. NOBODY knows what Lemieux weighed at 9am, which is about the time they do the 2nd day weigh in. He had another 14 hours after that to still bulk up. So anyone assuming he was already overweight at 9am is just speculating, with no factual basis for their claim.
Lemieux cheated. Why are y'all praising him?

hhahaahah i'm copying and pasting this to show all my buddys because of how ridiculous it is. I'll label it, "internal bias and sports."This was a blatant case of cheating. When they signed this fight Lemieux agreed to fight for that secondary IBF title. He changes his mind after the weigh in and didn't inform Stevens.
Stevens is following the rehydration clause while fatty Lemieux doesn't have a worry in the world.
Lemieux has had problems making weight before. No drug testing for this fight. Lemieux is allowed to cheat and there's no penalty. He wasn't fined or had to compensate Stevens.
One guy followed the rehydration rule. The other guy didn't. Lemieux deserves no credit for this win.
You just can't find that tiny ounce of courage inside your little body to give lemeuix the props he deserves. It's astonishing to me..that you could actually see it that way.Comment

Lemiuex cheated but both fighters are irrelevant. Some fans are trying to make Lemiuex relevant by saying Canelo is ducking him I see already.
Seeing all the info posted in this thread I agree that Lemiuex cheated but really who cares other than Stevens and his team? Maybe they fought a 180lb+ fighter but they had to be more aware of his cheating. Someone messed up on Stevens team for not following what's going on.Comment

If he wasn't over weight why didn't he go to the second day weigh in?all the people whining about this are full of it. who knows? He said he didnt think he needed to, and it was a minor title and not the major one. Maybe he wanted to sleep in. I dont know, and more importantly YOU dont know either. Yet you are quick to assume he did it with bad intentions, despite not having a single shred of evidence to back up your assertion......Comment

The former IBF champ didn't know about the second day weigh in for an IBF sanctioned fight? And you buy that excuse. But how story changed later and he said he didn't attend because he didn't want to fight for that secondary title. So why agree to it then change your mind? He never planned to abide by the REHYDRATION clause. There was to much at stake for him and he wanted every advantage possible. This was the fight HBO owed him from the GGG fight. He needed a good showing to get back on the network. I can't believe someone as gullible as you used to work in the fight game. I bet those ppromoters saw you coming a mile awaywho knows? He said he didnt think he needed to, and it was a minor title and not the major one. Maybe he wanted to sleep in. I dont know, and more importantly YOU dont know either.
