They say don't hook with a hooker, but when both guys are hookers something like this will probably happen. Hope Stevens is okay.

Congratulations to David Lemieux on a very nice win. He has power in either hand. Also, I am happy to know that Curtis Stevens is progressing well and would be released soon from the hospital.

Now I would love to see a fight between him and Canelo Alvarez. As a matter of a fact, I believe what we saw last night was a prelude to him actually fighting Ginger in the Fall; Because let's face the facts. There's no way Oscar is gonna let Saul Alvarez face GGG in September if he is successful against Daniel Jacobs.

As a Canelo fan you should be aware that young boxers can learn and progress with time , it was ages ago **** happens , you are whats wrong with boxing , if boxers listen to you then young boxer will avoid tough challenges until they are at their prime , stop with this BS , judge him on his current form , we are not doing a resume for HOF exams here.

          1) Let's not lose our collective memories here. Canelo fought Austin Trout and Erislandy Lara. Oscar didn't want either of these fights.

          2) At the moment Golden Boy IS Canelo. They make very little out of everyone else. So if Canelo demands the fight Oscar can't say no.

          3) If Canelo suddenly jumps ship and fights Lemieux in fall he won't have ANYBODY defending him. That's his last deadline. If he doesn't fight Golovkin by then, he better start tweeting that he wants to see Golovkin's pay checks and post photos of himself and his entourage in Ferraries.

So have a little faith, brother

A good line from the fight was when the announcer said "...these are real power shots" (as opposed to the CompuBox power shot) lol

I don't know. Charlo has Lemieux on boxing skills for sure but can he stand up to Lemieux's power? Charlo is untested at 160. I'd like to see him in with a lower top 15 fighter with some punching power first before I could predict Lem/Charlo.

I haven't been here in a while, but man, that was a heck of a KO. It'll probably be one of the best of the year. Admittedly Stevens may be a bit past his best before, but I gotta cheer for a Canuk who slugs. Lemieux will be great to watch until the day he retires.

And being "top 10" as a middleweight means little in this current crop (it is as bad as claimed imho). I'd put David probably right in that bunch (depending on who we're calling MWs) but Stevens at his best was a top 10 guy, and we know he's far from that now. Good knockout, that people are trying to take too much meaning from.
I didn't say you called anyone a bum yourself, but people already downplay fighters enough on here. Just one loss and they're no good. I don't think the division is so bad. You alluded to Hagler time and said yourself alot of his challengers were forgettable. I think there are plenty of talented fighters in the division but they're not perfect. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be appreciated and a knockout like that should be celebrated, it's the sport at its most dramatic.

I'm glad Stevens is okay but that was a Mortal Kombat punch he got hit with!!!!!! That's why you shouldn't talk all that noise before the fight Stevens better retire.
