I believe the promoter who continuously put there fighters in stuff fight rather then the promoter who can't get Adonis a legit fight

Nice to hear the OTHER side of the story..even thought "fans" will believe what suits their agenda.

As far as I am concerned, until Beterbiev steps up and fights a solid fighter in the pros he is just another Shabaransky!!

This exactly, i guess you have to drown out the fanboys online beterbiev is not an overly skilled boxer, he's not like a rigo or mayweather he can be outboxed he's a good boxer but he's being over hyped big time

dude would be lucky if he brought home 20k out of that 62k

its not "scared" its called prize fighting...you fight for money and that was a joke amount for two top ten contenders.

TheCell8 post the source, because going straight to a purse bid is against ibf rules did you know that?

GYM are entirely to blame for this fight not happening. Had Yvon Michel offfered Barrera decent money, it would still be a go. He was having a very hard time securing an opponent for Beterbiev before Barrera finally accepted. Duva initially rejected the fight, it's Barrera who insisted because he wanted to face nobody else but Beterbiev.

He's a promoter, he chose to invest on Beterbiev, a promising light heavyweight about to fight in a title eliminator, he should have offered decent money to make sure the fight happens. If you really believe in him and if he turns out to be the real deal, you'll eventually have you return on investment.

                  who cares ?

FACT: that was a shht deal..... /story

so, another fight fell over because one guy got offered/cornered into accepting, a shht deal.... so, who really cares ?

if they REALLY wanted that fight to happen, they would have offered Barrera 50%

Main Events could have offered Beterbiev and Barrera decent money to make the fight and promote it. Its Main Events who isn't really invested in Barrera, that's why they didn't bid more than GYM to win the purse bid. The IBF, GYM and Main Events said the fight was on and contracts had been signed. If Barrera wants to blame someone, blame his promoter Main Events.
It was Beterbiev team who didn't want to negotiate, they wanted to go straight to purse bit because they know they get 75/25 split.

That's nobody want to be part of an IBF negotiation with them. Only reason is because Sullivan have been wanting to fight Beterbiev for a long time now.

This fight should have been a 50/50 fight and then if a fighter pulled out, the spotlight would be on them and the criticism would be justified. But 62K is a SHT deal, no matter which side you think is lying or failing to communicate.
