GYM are entirely to blame for this fight not happening. Had Yvon Michel offfered Barrera decent money, it would still be a go. He was having a very hard time securing an opponent for Beterbiev before Barrera finally accepted. Duva initially rejected the fight, it's Barrera who insisted because he wanted to face nobody else but Beterbiev.

He's a promoter, he chose to invest on Beterbiev, a promising light heavyweight about to fight in a title eliminator, he should have offered decent money to make sure the fight happens. If you really believe in him and if he turns out to be the real deal, you'll eventually have you return on investment.
Its not hard to find out who is lying when IBF confirmed that they received a signed contract from Barrera.

      ^This.

That said, Barrera did himself NO favors with the social media antics. He looked like he had no clue what he was doing, and that he was trying to back out. Should have kept it professional, rather than doing exactly what he's accusing the other guys of doing.
      ^And this, really.

GYM offering decent money? You could say the same for Barreras promoter, Main Events. Main Events could have offered Beterbiev and Barrera decent money to make the fight and promote it. Its Main Events who isn't really invested in Barrera, that's why they didn't bid more than GYM to win the purse bid. The IBF, GYM and Main Events said the fight was on and contracts had been signed. If Barrera wants to blame someone, blame his promoter Main Events.

62k is fine for a C level fighter, more than good enough.

Main Events is a small-time promotion company. Beterbiev is younger, better and more marketable than Barrera, so GYM has more incentive (also more ressources?) to invest in Beterbiev than Main Events on Barrera.

The problem with Barerra's claims, is that "his" promoter (Kathy Duva) corroborated Yvon Michel's claims, and made Barerra seem like the azzhole! That's never a good look!
