Ill never forget what Holyfield said when Lewis was robbed their first fight: something to the effect of "Lewis had me in trouble and should have finished it." and that Lewis had no reason to complain. As much as its a messed up thing to say he had a point. You take it out of the judges hands! Put an exclamation point on your victories.

people ***** about Ward here constantly but ward makes sure he dominates his competition and does not try to coast to victory. Hatton, after he beat Zoo was never as good for a similar reason. Instead of fighting every round he would try to win the round and dry hump the rest of the round to keep his streak alive.

Thurman should really take the risk, get a damn loss already and Fight like you want to show the fans you are a winner! That robbery would have screwed up boxing and good!

He was getting lit the f**k up in the opening round, but he kept his composure. I'll give him that much.

I was actually thinking for a brief second that Keith might end up stopping homie in the first round...

Thurman came out throwing bombs lol
Thanks for the iPad wishes i haveca laptop but that crap has a serious virus and its not even funny.

Danny was hesitant after round 1 because he almost got knocked down but he has a chin. I am just glad he finally lost because IMO he lost to Herrera and PEDerson

Neither fighter dared to be great. Good fight but they played it too safe for my taste

thought it would be more of a war, once danny felt that power he played it safe, held his ground good chess match I was pleased. I thought keith could have put more of a stamp on the victory but oh well

So much excitement and electricity in the first rounds and it started to subside as the fight progressed. The crowd started to boo as both fighters seemed scared to take risks, especially Garcia, whose ugly style of ducking so low began to manifest, not to mention his inability to tough it out on the inside and would rather clinch. The guy can only trade at a fixed distance and no longer than five seconds.

But I have no complaints as I'm used to these types of fights. Casuals may disagree, of course. Most important is it's made, finally, and fans could focus on other fights, instead of wasting time hyping up one fighter who is not that good after all.

I didnt think it was a bad fight, IDK why people are hating on it. I guess it coulda been a better showing for the sport of boxing but Ive definitely seen much worse.

2 things that surprised me more then anything in this fight was how fast Garcia is. I never really seen the speed he displayed before, hes just way to wide.

As for Thurman, he gets bashed a lot for "Running" but what I noticed more so was Thurmans ability to change levels on Garcia in the beginning. Staying low and centered on the way in and out really helped because Garcia was swinging for the fences. The only thing I dont understand is why he went away from that, he was on his way to really busting DSG up. But oh well its not my face getting punched. He did what he had to do to win and win clearly.

I think Thurman played safe & Danny won a round or two in the end but still would have won max. 4 rounds..

Thurman bluffed him in beginning and Danny laid back as if Keith was going to press the entire fighter. Wrong! They fought exactly as they always have! Keith started boxing after 3 rounds and Danny got lost in the shuffle.
If Danny couldn't double jab and close distance than Thurman would simply box him. He did just that!
It was Danny's fight to make a huge adjustment but they didn't do it.
Might be time for Dad to become the second corner and get a real evaluator and game planner in place in the gym and corner.

Angel was lost in the corner, he gave no technical advice and Danny needed some direction instead of a desperation voice.

I like Danny with more technical teachings he can improve fast.
I see a huge difference from Canelo in the past 4 years and I believe Danny could do the same. Still very young and I think eager to learn more. Angel does not have that ability, at least I haven't seen or heard it from him.

Started off pretty exciting for a round or two. Seemed like Thurman wanted to put it on him to make Garcia apprehensive to engage too much then box from there. Overall it wasn't an exciting fight. I thought Thurman was pretty comfortable throughout the fight and seemed a cut above Garcia in most departments and probably knew it, so didn't take any risks from there. I had him winning much wider than the judges.

For Thurman, i think it was a decent tidy professional performance but i felt it was a chance for him (or the winner) to set the marker as the man in the division and he really didn't do that. Nobody really walked away from that fight thinking Thurman is the man. If i was one of the other top WW's, i wouldn't be too worried.

As for Garcia, i don't think we learned anything new. From his gifts and performances in the past, it was already known he was very beatable once he's in with a good all round skilled fighter. He's still a good fighter though and shown signs of some good defence at times.

Overall a bit underwhelming, a bit of a missed opportunity for someone to make a statement but that's modern day boxing i guess, get the W and get paid.

                      Both guys fought conservatively.

Thurman was in complete control though, 7-2 up after 9 rounds. The fight only got close because he turned back into Run Time and gave away the last 3 rounds.
