Comments Thread For: Bellew: I Would Beat Haye Again, Possibly Stop Him Sooner!

Last Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, Tony Bellew caused a huge upset by moving up to the heavyweight class and stopping an injured David Haye in the 11th round in a gripping, all-British fight. Haye, in the third bout of his boxing comeback, hurt his right Achilles as he skipped back in the sixth round but continued despite being an apparently easy target.

Bellew was whacked with some serious blows from a man with one leg... enough said.

Bellew is very underrated I'd like to see him go back to cruiserweight and take out usyk, I think he can stop usyk who's not as fast or hit's anywhere near as hard as haye, unify that division first

Bellew needed five rounds to stop a one-legged man and hit him flush many times. Haye by KO in rematch

Bellew should be given credit for surviving the first five rounds, but not for beating a one legged guy who could hardly move on that leg. Haye did go into the fight with an injury, clearly. I did wonder though why Haye never fought a rematch against Carl Thompson, who tko'd him. His punch resistance did seem to not be that bad though at heavyweight.

Have wont underestimate belles so should win rematch. That is if he recovers from injury well
Belles doesn't mention if he knew Haye did his Achilles heel in, in round 6?

He got very fortunate. That's about as much as you can say. In fact, he had a hard time against a cripple.
But, I fully support his right to rag on Haye.
