You know what would be cool? If WBA gets rid of his multiple champs in this kind of tournament lol

I can't speculate of the first two weight classes, but surely won't be the smallest ones.

I thought the $50 milli was for the two winners lonely, am I wrong?

There's four major belts. Get the four champs and their respective mandatories. Period. Unless there is unified champs. Suped duper excited.

Schaefer "estimates" the winners get $10 million.

yeah sounds like a good idea but is a logistics nightmare. I doubt many of the top fighters, rival promoters, rival networks send their fighters. Probably end up with a bunch of nobodies. Then you have injuries a guy gets hurt in training camp or a guy wins but suffers an injury.

It will be interesting to see how boxers respond to the timeline.

Quarters in Sep/Oct, Semis in Jan/Feb, Finals in May.

Sauerland taking a front seat makes me think 168 will be one of them, they got Groves, Zeuge and Abraham. Add Chudinov, Degale, Smith, Dirrells or Ramirez if HBO are gunna get involved.

I hate to say it but this will not work! Their won't be many of the top fighters participating in this tournament. On top of that, it will take at least 2-3 years to complete. Lastly, you would need multiple promoters putting up a few of their best fighters which is probably the hardest optical to overcome. Sounds good but can't see the top fighters today competing in something like this.
