Sounds good but can't see the top fighters today competing in something like this.

    The timeline is set.

I think the problem would be more if there's an issue with a winner getting cut or something.

They may say they have replacements ready, but it would really hurt this event if they had to use a replacement for a semifinal or final.

Furthermore, I could see promoters or boxers not liking that even if they win a fight, they could get left out of a next round if they get a cut or injury or whatever keeps them from competing on the timeline that's been established...or where the fights are expected to take place.

There's a lack of control that some boxers and promoters might not like.

This sounds promising. Tbh haymon should of done something like this with all the funds he had. 16 fighters fighting every 3 months seems like a good way to determine the best every year.

I hope they do away with the sub division's too. Imagine how deep the talent would be if there was only like 6 division?

Who's putting up the money and where are the fights going to be shown.

love the idea of tournaments like this.
realistically, we'll get some fringe top 15 ranked fighters, a mixture of gatekeepers, past-it veterans and untested prospects. still, it will be really interesting

          Sounds great in theory.
But how long did the Super Six take, & and they only had 6 Fighters(8 really due to injuries).
I just have a feeling that we won't get to see the top guys due to their tv allegiances, promoters, managers etc..

I f#cking love this idea. This is why I'm glad Slick Richard is back. No one in boxing is thinking outside the box like he does & can put sh^t in play after he comes up with his idea.

This could be huge for boxing & hearing Showtime & CBS are potentially going to be involved has me thinking PBC will be in this too. Lotsa good fights & some solid money to be won ($50M up for grabs for 2 divisions, 14 fights total = $3.5M split on average between the boxers for each fight). SUPER CURIOUS who'll jump into this as the money should get some guys from all over, although I'm curious how promoters will deal with their fighters under contract wanting to go into this tournament or how Slick Richard deals with promoters who want in if there fighter is involved. And also curious what divisions will get chosen. If PBC is involved I'm assuming 154 will be one of the divisions.

Whatever the f#ck goes down I'm looking forward to this & hope it works out well for all parties so this could be a thing moving forward that potentially could make belts mean even less than they mean now.

Gotta say I'm getting a semi just thinking about how good this could be. A lot of elite guys might take a pass but there are gonna be some underrated, lesser known guys who will get a shot and turn out to be better than anyone expected.
It will feature a ton of lesser knowns I imagine. Would be great if they did HW so we can see maybe the Jarrell Millers of the world see what's up

The Super Six was ******ed. Any tournament in a combat sport that has a round robin opening round format is f#cking ******. Combat sports are too brutal for that.

And this tournament is lasting 9 months. Starts in Sept., ends in May. If a guy gets injured someone takes his place. Easy peasy japanesy.

Yea this will prove a difficult task to navigate I think too. But a positive if this $50M, $3.5M to split per fight average is legit & increases in the future I think its possible that fighters in the future get an out on their contract for a fight or three when they sign or re-sign a deal cuz its such a good opportunity. This tournament could change some of the problematic current status quo's in boxing which is a win beyond this whole tournament in my eyes. Although lets see how it all goes cuz who knows, but this seems like it could have some positive effects on boxing & the boxing fanbase.

With the money involved if they can't get names they'll lose money & this won't see a season 2.

Like I said in an earlier post doe I suspect PBC will be heavily into this with Showtime & CBS being mentioned already + with Slick Richard's known alliance with Haymon. So that being the case watch for PBC friendly divisions be the first ones in the mix (like 154 for an easy example) that will get some solid names involved.

I need to look up Sauerland's roster.

This all depends on the calibre of fighter they can get.

Hopefully we get some great matches like Sergio the latin snake Mora vs. Peter Manfredo Jr.

Wait a minute, this has been done before!!!
