As long as you get yourself back into the mix. Losing to one guy doesn't mean the end because people will still be interested to see your style vs another top guy. Just make compelling matchups.
It's a huge double standard. People have been trashing Garcia none stop and he only Lost once. But say Marcos Midania can come and clean out the WW division and he has 5 loses. But fans effect the bottom line for sure. You make a great point about the matchups. But that's hard to get out of today's fighters. And that's why Thurman Garcia get respect

Happened with Mayweather/Hatton << ESPECIALLY this one
      Happened with Mayweather/Canelo
      Happened with Mayweather/Maidana 2
      Happened with Mayweather/Pacquiao
      Happened with Mayweather/Marquez

They see their fighter getting absolutely embarrassed and then get up and leave early. No loyalty at all.

Not seeing it. Thurman just won and apparently he's a letdown and just B class as is Garcia. Garcia is still a player. People will love Garcia vs Matthysse 2.

Not the greatest belief in Matthysse's heart nowadays though it would be a good fight.

And it's bull **** that we treat them like that
Yes, it is sad that a loss is looked upon so badly, especially when you look at other combat sports.

Fans like fighters who "go for it!".. Plain and simple. Thurman should have lost just for the way he finished the fight. Shameful.. If he doesn't watch out, he'll turn into a neo-me-me-maywhether: boring, full of himself and hated by fans.

Ray said fighters think being undefeated is something "remarkable," but actually they think being undefeated is something "marketable." Even Thurman vs. Garcia was marketed by CBS/Showtime as a battle of "two undefeated fighters." The show did better than Thurman vs. Porter, and I think it's not because Garcia is better than Porter, but that Garcia was undefeated! "Undefeated" sells!

This is why you have Crappy fights. Everyone talks Errol Spence I can't make a call the guy fights bums same as Wilder is Wilder ever going to defend the title against someone in the top 10 better if he fought the number 1 contender
