He's right and a lot of that is on the fans. As soon as someone loses they are bums and overrated and have been exposed. It's ridiculous.

Happened with Mayweather/Pacquiao
Happened with Mayweather/Marquez
They see their fighter getting absolutely embarrassed and then get up and leave early. No loyalty at all.Comment

Yes and that is because of the public. Once you lose people turn their back on you. You loose fans and popularity and when you lose that you lose endorsements and money. Once you lose you suck. Period. You are washed up, over the heel, exposed, or you were just never really any good to begin with. Of course, they are scared to death of losing. And it's bull **** that we treat them like thatComment

It's a huge double standard. People have been trashing Garcia none stop and he only Lost once. But say Marcos Midania can come and clean out the WW division and he has 5 loses. But fans effect the bottom line for sure. You make a great point about the matchups. But that's hard to get out of today's fighters. And that's why Thurman Garcia get respectComment

Absolutely.
I wrote in a thread the other day about this. The boxing fans are so unforgiving if a fighter loses or has a hard fight. That fighter then becomes a bum, a hypejob, exposed etc..
That filters back to the fighters so then they go through their fights and career with a mentality of trying not to lose rather than trying to win.Comment
