As far as I know; Canelo forfeited the MW belts. Fought for, and won, a JMW title in his last fight. Is scheduled for catchweight fight. Is still MW champion? What am I missing?
He can't be, am not looking at him as the lineal anything at MW.

He defended the lineal title less than a year ago, so his move away from the division isn't considered permanent yet.

Ok, thx. That makes sense, in case he were to return. I couldn't figure out why he was still on that list after abandoning the belts and fighting outside of that weight class. To me that seems like paying for the check and leaving the parking lot, but your waiter refills your drinks and bread anyway.

Thanks for bringing up the obvious question. Canelo gave up the belt. Golovkin has every right to fight this guy on his terms, not the other way around.

Just going to say.. that if you accept what these rankings say, you also accept that Golovkin has made 17 defenses as WBA Super Middleweight champion.

                    Can't have it both ways.

The 160 pound division is really really poor division, the entire middle-weight divisions in terms of talent? is the worst it has ever been in my opinion! You have so very few fighters who can actually punch besides from Golovkin, and then we have world champions who are constantly out of condition such as Billy Joe Saunders! (He has the physical conditioning of a Sunday league football player!)....

Canelo Alvarez should not be able to boss his way into the middle-weight division!
