In fairness I don't see many similarities in fighting styles between Monroe & Jacobs to make their ideal best strategies against GGG to be all that similar or interchangeable to have been helped equally by Mayweather's input.

Jacobs is gonna live or die on his power more or less. Monroe has been living or dying on boxing ability & ring IQ not unlike Floyd pretty much since he left 130. Mayweather's strategy vs GGG would have probably been a good deal like Monroe's strategy would have needed to be vs GGG to have won so I can see Mayweather's advice having a more positive impact on the outcome than anything he could say to Jacobs.

another reason, as floyd said himself, is that the guy wants floyd mayweather paychecks undeservedly so.

and perhaps the last reason is that floyd just doesn't get what the ggg hype is about...he's not impressed with the man's skills. he said he's flat footed and makes a lot of mistakes.

but hey, he did compliment dude's punching ability.
Other than mayweather I can't recall ggg calling out any ww's and I wouldn't even say he called may out, just remember him saying he would only fight at 154 for may and only May. I can't remember him ever saying he wants mayweather paychecks or demanding large sums of money to get in the ring with anyone. Aside from canelo for the obvious reasons. And last, I think the hype about GGG is that he destroys everyone he fights that's it. He is flat footed, he's no master boxer but his power is something special and fans get excited about that. I don't think any of those things warrant may to constantly bash the guy or go the extra mile to disrespect and discredit him is all I'm saying. No hate to mayweather at all

Sorry bud but what Floyd is selling is nonsense! Floyd got his first massive payday against De La Hoya, the face of boxing at the time. He was undefeated and earned that shot. GGG is doing the exact same thing. He is undefeated and wanting to fight the face of boxing for his first monster payday. Floyd is just upset that he can't hold boxing prisoner anymore.

So if Canelo can beat GGG Mayweather can as well. Offer GGG a fight at 154.

It's so weird it's like he has a real issue with the guy but for no legitimate reason. In one breath he discredits GGG but then in the next he says if Canelo was his fighter he'd never face GGG. wtf???lol

The best of this era have spoken. Gotta give the best fighter of this era his respect so when he says x y z can beat so and so I believe it.

Why do people think there's some conspiracy? Floyd faced Canelo and knows what type of fighter he is. He's not picking Jacobs to beat gg is he?
