  • The problem was he could never pull out of the fight, rumours about his injury was circulating this week, after his visit to the same surgeon who did his shoulders for him. But Haye pulling out of that fight? He might as well as retire again for ever, no one in the U.K. Would touch him if he did that.

He's not suited to heavyweight, looks blown up, fat and sloppy. Bellew making him do the Stanky leg caused the injury.
Ive been cracking up at the "made up" injury Haye came into the fight wtih. Why do people want to defend this guys with lies??at all costs, makes no sense to me

If he had beaten Bellew, I don't doubt he would have got that fight. Certainly it was what Hearn was intimating.
          Perfectly said.

This has been Haye's forte since coming to HW.

Find the safest route to a paper title, and/or big money fight.

Last time he did it by barely beating Valuev to get Wlad fight. He wouldn't have even fought Valuev if he could have just talked his way into a Wlad fight.

This time it was to be either Bellew in a domestic showdown, capitalizing on Bellew's recent string of success at CW, or to win a version of the WBA title against Briggs. He figured Bellew would be a bit easier than Briggs cause Briggs would at least have a puncher's chance.

Blew up in his face this time, and I'm loving every minute.

          • Called it.

Haye needs to hang up the gloves before he gets seriously hurt.

I agree with this, my point is just around the injury (whether it's pre-fight or happened during the fight).

              • His face changes suddenly after the small backwards jump.

                • Cong**** to Bellew, fought well and deserves a lot of credit. I figured he'd be blown out within 3.

                  • To be honest I thought Haye would win, but I wanted Bellew to win. The injury clearly hampered Haye's movement, but I'm not so sure he had the measure of Bellew. Tony got more respect than he had before the fight, that's the sure. Once Haye's injury came into play, he was cannon fodder.

I like Haye, but thought he should have been pulled out earlier, to save his future (if any) career.
