Lets all say something good about Deontay Wilder

He was ready to fight his mandatory against Povetkin in Russia, which many people thought would end his title reign.

He seems to be a nice guy outside the ring. Examples: Bringing up his daughter as a single parent. Showing genuine concern for Szpilka after KOing him and not celebrating till Szpilka came round. Sending out a message of support to Tyson Fury after Tyson lost his licence due to mental health problems.

His fights, though not exactly overflowing with pugilistic skill and expertise, are entertaining and exciting to watch.

He has legit one punch KO power, even against dreadnought sized opponents, and can pull fight ending punches out of nowhere.

He has an actual fanbase, with people that will buy tickets to watch his fights...That is very rare in boxing.

There was more than a hint of sarcasm in my post lol.. ive posted in this thread already gving him positives.

I was more bringing the fact up due to the poster i quoted stated some posters should be ashamed of themselves for hating.

I personally would be more at peace with myself hating on someone for poor boxing skills, than singing their praises and neglecting he hit a woman.

I wouldn't criticise him for that charge, because it was dropped before going to court and the facts never came out.

I have given Wilder plenty of shit for his bum squad resume, and will do so again, if provoked, lol. But this is an appreciation thread, and he does have some qualities that I like.

Because she couldnt be proved she was noshing him off on the sly lol. She got a fat cheque and an apology from GBP but that aside..

This thread is an appreciation thread, and for what i believe he lacks in many many departments, his unattractive telegraphed right hand is a quick and easy way to a coma.
