I don't think there's any hope for this man, at 31 years old, to drastically improve his technique. Look how much he windmills in this next video once he hurts Audley Harrison. It's known that Audley's knees were fcuked, similar to Sergio Martinez in his last fight. A decent punch from Deontay Wilder plus his knees giving out sends him down. But just look at how Wilder responds when he realises Audley's going down... Flails with about 10 punches and lands none. Fight starts shortly after 7:40 of the video:

      1. Under Roach Wilder can have improved technique.
      2. Can ACTUALLY 'set up' power punches.
      3. Know some feints.
      4. Have a good jab ATLEAST
      5. Having a good sense of range, and not go on the windwill attack.
      6. Know how to counter. There were at least a hundred cases where Wilder can counter with that big straight right hand and he didn't took it because he didn't have no.5

He is just lost on this sport man. I pity him. I hope he can improve his offense! It's horrible!
You are giving Freddie Roach a lot of credit for tasks that he's literally not been able to transport onto another fighter, lol.

Freddie Roach is a polisher, and a very good one at that; outside of Pacquiao, he takes finished projects, adds a touch of gloss to them, and then gets given all of the credit.

Deontay Wilder is not a finished product, so heading to Roach is literally the worse thing he could do.

roach is not a miracle worker but what he can do is teach wilder how to throw a punch correctly. i know yall seen the gif that's been going around of wilder swinging wildly right at the end of the fight. that was some amateur move and quiet embarassing.

This.I don't understand why some people think they see things that experienced boxers and trainers don't.

Im not a big fan of roach but i think deontay would be a perfect fit with roach style of offensive training. Deontay will never be a technician, he is flawed but one thing about roach is he brings oit the offensive side of his fighters like no one else.

Wilder is painful to watch, he cant throw a clean jab, he gets very sloppy and wild, he needs to fight more like long armed tommy hearns keep distance to get full leverage on shots and dont fight small or in close taking away your advantage

nah he can't. some people are just too uncoordinated. its like asking a woman to throw a baseball. they just cant do it. its impossible. they are women. more sexist remarks etc...

That flailing combo was cringe, it was also scary i thought wilder was going to hit the referee with one of those wild sloppy windmills.

Agreed. He simply loses his mind when he hurts his opponent or thinks he has someone hurt. That siht won't fly against top opposition.
