Once a guy is world champion he is always in or near the top of the rankings. This is nothing new. Look at past rankings & how many ex-champs are in eliminators after losing their crown.

Not sure why everyone is shocked .Its blatenly apparent this was the blue print ,to call out names and then follow the other course, hasnt most figured this out yet? does anyone think he didnt know Stiverene was next? After Stiverne he will maybe injure something or take ONe more light bout....

I think Washington may have gave him second thoughts as well stepping up his game again. I dont particularly care,i find this hilarious and just want the Joshua vs wilder fight anyway. And beleive me when they fight its a total blow out bc Washington is his best win and he has half of Joshuas talent he cant afford over 30 fights with such poor resume.

I realise the ordering of this might not be his fault but Wilder is far from faultless for his abysmal 38 fight record. Zero faith even if he was free to fight whoever he would fight a top 10. All talk no action. So yes I would love him to surrender the belt so real men that want to take risks get a chance. Be great if we could see him get smashed in the ring but he wont fight anyone good so best to just give it up.

Maybe the unification with Joseph Parker will happen and this mandatory can be postponed.

And he'll shortly be licking his wounds as well! This guy hasn't fought since late 2015, nothing but pure ring rust. He should have had at least 4 fights since then. I can only imagine how fat and heavy Stiverne must be right now. This is BAD news for Stiverne but as the saying goes, "Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it."

So how is the WBC decision Wilder's fault? How is Povetkin taking meldonium Wilder's fault? How is Fury suffering from depression and preventing a Wilder Fury or Wilder Klitschko unification Wilder's fault. None of the current champs are fighting anyone outside mandatory fights and unifications. Ortiz ignored Big Baby Miller...he got a pass tho.

Why the hell is Stiverne still ranked so highly? He has done next to nothing since losing his strap and in his last outing, got knocked on his ass and barley beat a journeyman. This is a BS fight and another record padding target practice session for this Bronze Cherry!

Nothing i hate more than a rematch of a one-sided fight.
The next opponent for Wilder should be Tyson Fury since he doesn't have a fight right now like the other top heavyweights & it could easily be made early this summer.
Also, Stiverne just got popped for performance enhancers late last year & immediately gets a title shot?
Why not give it to Povetkin then?
