The last shot Wilder landed squarely on Washington's face also would have knocked him down if not for the ropes his feet went out and fell backwards into the ropes which propped him up.

He was trapped going toward the corner and Wilder would have continued to tee off against someone that was defenseless at that point.

LOL, **** off, seriously **** off. Just think, one moment, throughout boxing history the number of fighters who were staggered but regained control and had success and won their fights or were very competitive?

It's part of boxing, a fighter gets knocked down, gets staggered - but you give the fighter the benefit of doubt and allow them to clinch, fight back, survive and to regain control. Watch some of Evander Holyfield's fights back in the 90s. He was always getting staggered and looked unsteady. He was able to comeback and win a lot of those fights.

IF washington lost every round, was hurt on several other occasions, had ZERO success then the stoppage would be slightly less bad and there would be less complaints.

The Fact Washington had won practically every round negates this point.

The fanboy logic these days is, whenever there is a bad stoppage. they all become nostradamus.

A good indication that there was a bad stoppage is body language and reaction. If the opponents did not protest, and instead admitted defeat, then we as fans should not react for them.

Washington did well, and his trainer is on record having no issues with the stoppage, and Washington simply said he was caught and will take it as experience. From what I saw, it was an okay stoppage and all parties were fine with the stoppage.
