    Agreed!

With Harrison, the ref looked to be willing to let it go on but he spit out the guard and tye ref said *** it.

Izu didn't even get a look in.

The wilder thing was laughable as the ref tried to stop it, failed and then let it go on only to stop it and yet let wilder punch away two more times.

    Unprofessional.

The only stoppage I had a real problem with was Harrison-Hurd. I thought a point should have been taken away. The ref wanted to stop the Wilder fight even earlier but Wilder just kept punching lmao. Washington was stumbling all over the ring so I didn't mind it that much. Wilder looked HOOORRRRIIIBLLLLLLEEEE and I am fully on the bombsquad. He was too busy thinking and not reacting. The moment he threw more than one punch he got a KO. People bash him but HOW he got that KO was fantastic. He threw the jab, left it there to blind Washington and landed that missile. Washington never saw the right hand until he was on the canvas.

If I ask you if you want to continue and then you willingly spit out your mouthpiece in response, that says a lot more than if you spit it out any other time. If you're tired and spit it out during the round cool, if you're on the ground and ref has his back to you and spit it out then cool, but that is a clear response to a question.

Oh, so if you "stagger" now, the ref should call the fight? Washington was hurt but he was still in the fight. I stand by my statement: it was too quick a stoppage. The ref totally panicked

Of course the ref stopped the Wilder fight at the earliest opportunity. The wrong guy was winning the fight.

that was actually really bad, washington looked fine after it was waved off, he didnt even go down for a 2nd time ffs.

by the ref's logic, we should never have fights like izu breazeale, wave them all of after the 1st KD....

Of course all the bum squad ******s will say ' omg u want washington to die??!?!!'

' he was gonna get sparked anyway '

like it was a foregone conclusion that he was getting knocked out...total BS fanboyism. Washington was ahead and would STILL be ahead with a 10-7 round even IF he did get kd again...

Washington's trainer says he is OK with the stoppage. If he is OK with it then so am I. Wilder is a very hard puncher and he could easily injure a boxer by landing one punch too many on an already hurt boxer.

He was overly tentative and cautious and his punches looked constricted (maybe due to his muscular physique). Washington looked decent, to my surprise, but not any spectacular and there was never any doubt that Wilder would get his man outa there.

Of the 3 fights, this was the worse stoppage by far. Washington was buzzed but at no point was he helpless or defenseless. Given that this was a title fight, Washington should have been allowed to fight on and survive the round. It was a total overreaction to stop this fight at that point.

Thoughts/opinions? Am I totally off the mark or just in my criticism?
first thing is first, Maxi and Bigdramashow are gay.

But back to your point, it could be that Wilder was not confident from his full recovery which is why he was tentative to throw.

Also, the ref imo was very amateur. It should've been a standing 8-count the first time Washington got buzzed on the ropes, hence the reason why the sideline ref started to count.

Technically, imo, that play was suspect. What was the point of the ref to jump in between? Wilder and Washington weren't clinched, so why did the ref jump to separate? You'd think a standing 8 would be called. However, for a title bout like so, a standing 8 was not in play? Why did the sideline count?

It was very awkward stoppage. However, it's all forgiveable, because most pussıes in boxing still don't acknowledge that Jay Nady's stoppage of Judah vs Tszyu was worse, therefore, last night's performance was beautiful!

                  The End.

Washington zombie'd off to the ropes seconds after. It was the ropes that held him up. Look at the replay, Washington was about to collapse. He received some haymakers on that noggin
