It's only so many fighters in any division. I don't care who you fight at this point. Just FIGHT!!!

That was what they said. Wilder fans just conveniently gloss over the fact that the Wilder-Parker talk was of little substance and when they weighed the options up they said, nah AJ generates **** tons more money.

Anyone would think this sport is primarily a business.

I'm not so sure that it was just strategy that hurt Izu. I've heard people saying he lacks drive and a killer instinct despite his impressive record (although tbf vs nobodies so KOing them means lil in reality) and he seemed to not be giving as much once he got met with some adversity. And I'm not saying he gave up or anything like that cuz he clearly didn't and this fight was back n forth even after both guys were hurt.

Breazeale still outhearted Izu more than he made THAT superior tactical decisions to get the W. Inexperience played a part. And I do believe Izu can have some good W's in his future, but I feel like his ceiling will be lower than these "good as or better than Parker" fans think and he'll lose more fights to guys in and around Breazeale's caliber and better than he'll win when his career is said and done I feel.

The Wilder-Parker discussions began weeks ago. I think Parker was ringside last night. It's the fight Team Wilder is targeting. We'll see what happens.

breazeale just had a huge knockout win in front of 2 million people on wilder's undercard. makes perfect sense for a stay busy fight in may while wilder waits for parker to be available for a unification in august or september.
