Let's be real here.
Ward signed a contract for the rematch and the terms were already agreed upon.
Ward has a history of contract breaking and litigation.
Ward will likely be sued by Main Events and HBO and probably lose at least part of the 5 million dollars he stole after Kovalev v Ward 1.
He stole it because he has not lived up to the rematch clause. That is stealing, folks.
The best thing that could happen now is for Ward to retire. No one would care. No one really likes the dude anyway. His boxing style sucks, and he found a formula that wins fights without having any boxing skills and which is not within the Rules of Boxing.
Ward fanbois can paint it any way they want, but their man is a coward and a contract breaker. He says he's a Christian but his actions speak louder than his words.

WOW...Ward is the realist boxer in the game and P4P King. Only kovalev fans....., pacquiao fans and 666 fans.....are the only ones that don't like Ward. He's a great boxer (hasn't lost since he was 14yrs old). Cowards don't move up in weight and fight the best fighter in the division and get off the floor to put in work to win the fight. He seems to have a great formula, its been working since he was 14. As for the money he should have more, after all the boxers are the ones putting their life on the line and I would care if he retires cause a little to early he still got a little more work to do but if he decides to retire god bless him.

I am a Ward fan. I was in the stands for the for fight and scored it draw. But I gotta say I have lost a lot of respect for Andre during this. Every true champion involved in a close fight would be like "let's run it back then". Just the right thing to do. Say what you want about Floyd but he always ran it back! You want to be respected? Go out and take it.

80% of the media and fans say his win is bull****, so how can you blame HBO? They are just calling it the same way almost everyone else saw it. And Max Kellerman and RJJ have always been huge Ward fans, so what is his beef? RJJ is telling GGG to move up two weight classes and fight guys who naturally outweigh him by 35 pounds, saying GGG won't be special until he does that, but you don't see GGG boycotting HBO for it. Meanwhile Ward's trainer is crying that HBO "forced" Ward to finally fight guys his size.

Like how can you be a fan of this guy? GGG fights guys bigger than him every fight, and you complain about him, but Ward's team cries about fighting guys they admit are his size. They even said Ward was a scaled down light heavyweight at 168, but now at light heavyweight they're saying he doesn't belong at that weight class. Which is it? HBO has been kissing Ward's ass for years. It's Ward and his team who are always contradicting themselves and making him look ridiculous. HBO has been consistent. They've said for years Ward is better than he actually is, but when Kovalev kicked his a**, they had to be a little honest anyway, while still going out of their way to kiss Ward's ass, "only a great fighter can win this fight, and Ward did amazing to come back and make it a fight that could have gone either way. Virgil deserves so much credit." They even gave Virgil trainer of the year on the fight game!

Ward didn't get booed out of the building in Las Vegas, no sports operators (First Take, Skip's show on FS1, whatever other national sports commentary programs) went on the tirades of the fight being a highway robbery, there was no mention of any investigation of the judges, or the host of other direct acts that near immediately manifest in the face of a **** decision.

The general consensus of the vast majority of the talk since the fight has been that Kovalev-Ward was a hotly contested even fight that saw the official judges JUST edge the fight to Ward.

The only one's calling the fight result bull**** are the partisan Kovalev backers who had it in their minds that Kovalev was simply going to show up and wash Ward, saw the knockdown in the 2nd round, and then shut off their minds for the rest of the fight.

HBO forced him to move up? Last I recall, Ward himself stated that he can no longer make 168 and even has a hard time and has to cut weight to make 175.

After Ward and his camp made the decision to not wait for Golovkin, Ward started his light heavyweight bulk up in his gym, and his camp made it clear that (particularly after seeing what happened to Roy Jones Jr when he went back down in weight) they weren't ****ing around with breaking back down the body to come down for anything.
