I agree that with a record it's harder to get into many countries, so on that your correct but to bundle NZ together with any other countries immigration policy is not understanding the difficulties that Peter will face trying to get a special exemption visa for NZ. NZ is known and is proud of the fact they have some of the toughest immigration requirements when it comes to applicants. I have had friends apply and get knocked back for a lot less than the term Peter did, but who knows if this is the reason or it is what another poster wrote about the legal reasons.

Scott Weiland had talked about this multiple times...
Here is what I read yesterday about Peter Fury's Visa problems...
Immigration New Zealand has indicated Hughie Fury's trainer and father Peter will need a special exemption and character waiver due to his extensive criminal history to enter this country should the WBO title fight against Joseph Parker be held here in April.
Parker's promoters, Duco Events, are seeking sponsorship and working towards hosting the 25-year-old's first world title defence in New Zealand against undefeated Brit Fury, cousin of former heavyweight champion Tyson.
But there could be a major hitch in the works for the Fury camp, with Immigration New Zealand confirming Peter would need to jump through several hoops to be granted a visa.
Peter is a convicted drugs baron who stalked Manchester's notorious underworld for decades.
He was jailed for 10 years in 1995 for possession and intent to supply amphetamine – only to continue orchestrating his business from behind bars. In 2008 he received another two years for drug-related money laundering.
Five years ago a court ordered him to pay back the assets and funds he had hidden from the court.
In 2013, Peter's application for a visa into the United States was knocked back by authorities due to those two prison terms and he was forced to watch Tyson Fury's fight against Steve Cunningham from Canada, rather than work from his nephew's corner at New York's Madison Square Garden's.
Immigration New Zealand is yet to receive an application from Peter to come here in April but pointed to section 15 of the act which states:
"Any person sentenced to a term of imprisonment of five years or more, or to a term of imprisonment of 12 months or more in the last 10 years, is an "excluded person", and may not be granted a visa unless granted a special direction.
"In accordance with immigration instructions, certain criminal convictions will mean that the person is normally ineligible for the grant of visa unless a character waiver is granted. When considering a character waiver, each application is considered on its individual merits and taking into account factors such as the seriousness of an offence, number of offences and how long ago the event/s occurred."
Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, a convicted rapist, was denied a visa to enter New Zealand in 2012.
Peter does not hide from his chequered past.
"What is prison like — well, when you go to the toilet, you just see the toilet and you don't see the vermin down below it," he once told BoxingScene.
"There's a life down there that you don't want to see — that's where you are in prison. You're in hell on earth. That man sat next to you can easily put a knife through your neck because they're in for life and are in despair with nothing to lose."
"Going inside made me realise what life was about and what I was missing. It was like being in the dark for 24 hours, people have no idea what it's like, but you move on, learn from it and it makes you a humble person. They say that some bad things can turn into good things. Unless you've had that experience, you don't realise how good life can be."

I doubt Hughie would take the fight if he can't have his father in his corner. He is not experienced enough to have another voice in his ear. I doubt it's the PED issue because he wouldn't have been named the mandatory if that was the case. The WBO would have moved on but Peter's ability to enter NZLD will determine if this fight happens or not. Hughie has fought abroad lots but not at this level. Peter has already been denied a US entry & possibly NZLD. Hughie may be pretty limited to where he can fight as long as Peter is his trainer...Last edited by joe strong; 02-23-2017, 06:19 PM.Comment

Look at Hughie on the T.Fury vs Cunningham card and the Hughie we've seen since doping allegations, and they try tell you he's had the skin condition for years ! Lmao, dude looked fine then. This is a great summary of the situation. Effectively, Hughie's short-term enemy is time, because he's facing deadlines that he's unable to reach, without putting himself and his team at great risk of getting the **** sued out of them.
The deck of cards that the Fury camp have built is coming crumbling down. They went from Hughie being a real up-and-comer, and Tyson taking the title off the man who ruled the division with an iron fist for years - to both fighters doping, getting gagged by UKAD, unable to get the patriarch into the country for Hughie's title shot, and Tyson sitting on the sidelines with zero intention of coming back to fight, and pissing away his talent and current earnings.
The sooner both of these two feral mutts are relegated to history, the better. Boxing is better off without the cancer that is the Fury family.
At least, with them gone, fighters like Parker can get on with fighting people who are A. Going to turn up, and B. Less likely to be juiced to the gills.
The Furry's are full of shyt.Comment

I'm sure the delay is on David Higgins/Parker's side, when they're the ones who have requested a voluntary since the Furys haven't signed.
My guess is the contract stipulates VADA testing and Fury wants to clear his system.Comment
Ayyyyy its on
