    hmm

This is based on what I've seen, but also what I've heard from other people.

    1) Sugar Ray Robinson
    2) Bernard Hopkins
    3) Mike McCallum

i threw chavez in because he has many different modes, he can stalk/slug or box very well, or just adapt to you and counter. he slugs better than he boxes though, imo. plus his skull is 1/3rd thicker than the avg man so that made him a contender for me ;-)

i think in 5 years or so mayweather would be worthy of that #3, but not yet.

he is definately shaping up to be a great fighter though. and yeah hagler was a great but not really a complete fighter, well I guess he was. Chavez is pretty much like hagler, they can box but prefer to goto war

Do you think Gatti can develop into them, since, he too can box (or jab) but prefers to go to war...even though his chin is no where as near as good as prime hagler and prime chavez's..

I listed Mayweather Jr. in terms of ability, not accomplishments, but I suppose you're right..I'd like to see how good he can be in old age, when some of that speed isn't there.
That's what makes a fighter great when he can change his style to accomodate the physical changes what his body goes through with age..

nope gatti started learning to be a complete fighter just recently, and he was past age 30 when he started learning this, so I doubt he'll make it. Floyd is young, and is already a complete fighter. and I dont see him getting upset this year, he has too good vision/boxing skills/reflexes to get beat.

however look at holmes, his career took off when he was around 30, so I can't ever count out an old warrior
