The fight does more than Canelo vs Khan guaranteed, but can it make more than Cotto vs Canelo?? that's the question.

projections are good with already sold tickets surpassing Khan's by a lot. But nowadays breaking 1 million will be a feat of strenght.

I'm thinking 800k being well promoted, the hype on Mexico is 5x times bigger than Canelo vs Cotto so if that hype translates to Mexicans on the US the fight will break 1 million. It will all depend on that.

There's an article in Spanish from a yr ago called "Mexico no cree en Canelo Alvarez" that explains how he hasn't won over the hard-core Mexican yet.
I watched the conference on Mexico, a guy on the audience scream "Where is GGG"?

But being honest, Mexico has a ton of haters too, even if he beats GGG I don't think that same people would switch wagon.

I thought Khanelo did GREAT ticket sales??? 800K sounds about right??? I said around 750K?? I think a lot of ppl are kind of waiting and watching how Chavez is going to look?? Honestly I thought he looked healthy and good size considering he has like 12 weeks left to work on training and proper diating until the fight???

Floyd vs Berto did 500k , After the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fiasco boxing PPV's are doomed, even if Floyd comes back unless it's McGregor it won't break 1 million.

Oscar needs to learn the concept of "under-promise and over-deliver".

It isn't going to reach 1 million. 650k would be a great number.

FLOYD VS BERTO DID 500K BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS WHO BERTO IS DUDE..... DONT BLAME FLOYD BECAUSE HE EXPOSED MANNY THE FRAUD LIKE HE ALWAYS SAID HE WOULD..... CANELO HAS ONLY SOLD MORE THAN 1 MILLION WHEN HE FOUGHT FLOYD..... FLOYD IS THE ONLY BOXER WITH MAINSTREAM APPEAL IN AMERICA.... CANELO IS THE NEW CASH COW BUT JUST ON A SMALLER LEVEL..... THE CHAVEZ NAME IS NOT THAT SPECIAL ANY MORE AND THIS FIGHT WILL BE LUCKY TO OUTDO COTTO VS CANELO IN MY OPINION....

Never saw DiBella say such a thing, so unless you are his friend which I almost 99.9% can guaranteed and there is no official source or link, you just lying.

Not blaming Floyd, he was the PPV King for a loooong time, but let's be honest nobody knew who Guerrero either and he sold 800k vs him.

Floyd numbers were huge before the Pac fight, so were Manny's, after Floyd vs Pac nobody has been able to break that 1 million mark again.

Not debating that Floyd was so far a bigger star than Canelo is now. Floyd is mainstream and Canelo hasn't crossed that line yet.
