According to your nation's Constitution, it has no official language. You are making this your own personal requirement, your own country has denied Congress trying to make English the US official language. All proposed *********s have been denied because it would be un-American to accept it. You are un-American if you are trying to tell people how to speak.

With that said, I do agree that it is important to learn the language the majority speaks. It makes your life easier.

There should be a law that in order to be approved for citizenship, you should be able to FLUENTLY speak that nation's language. That should be a bare minimum prerequisite before a citizenship is approved.....

Yet 80% of the poulation speaks it. Don't need to have a government decree to know what language is spoken in the US. The goal of any immigrant should be to assimilate into whatever culture they are joining. Language being a key aspect if not the most important aspect to that end.

That said I don't agree with the OP on being fluent. If that were the case like half of us would still be Europeans lol. It generally takes 2-3 generations for immigrants to become fluent in english and I got no problems with that as long as an effort is being made.

This is why your post is flawed. America is built on many cultures. If a Cuban moves to the US in a Cuban community with Cuban culture, then he/she already speaks the language her/his culture speaks.

Also, Americans are demanding immigrants to be fluent in their language but then look at your post "joinin" - it's joining. "english" - e is capitalized. "Poulation" - i'm sure you meant population. "I got no problems with that" - I have no problem with that.

First, learn to communicate in your language properly before demanding someone else to learn it. English is my 2nd language btw.
