    Wilfred Benitez

There are more that can be listed. Marquez is not the greatest counter puncher of his era or all time.

Roy Jones was the greatest counterpuncher of all time...its not even close...his accurate, fast and powerful shots handcuffed guys or knocked them out.

Today the best are Ward and loma....I pick ward cuz he can counter every way and distance possible....loma isn't quite as proven and his counters are usually on the move. Ward can catch n shoot, slip n counter, counter inside @ angles etc.

he also lost to bradley and dropped by unmotivated alvarado. His only good win at welterweight was pac while on roids. He really never belonged at the weight. Besides, mayweather cheated the **** out of that weighin.

Doesn't matter, he's not officially retired, and no active fighter comes close to that level of mastery.

From Film of Salvador Sanchez that I've seen...HE MIGHT STILL be the best Counter Puncher I've ever seen. Prime JMM though was just masterful at it. Even Older JMM Knockout out Pacquiao, Schooling Juan Diaz Twice, toying with Michael Katsidis he was still very sharp even in his last fight vs Mike Alvarado still had excellent time!

Chocolatito is excellent. At lighter weights he wasn't really a pressure fighter. He actually wasn't that exciting, even if he got KOs. The KOs just happened. They'd be boxing, whatever, and BOOM, fights over (a little like Rigo). As he's gone up in weight, he's become more of a pressure fighter, maybe to compensate for his shorter stature.

For active fighters (No, JMM isn't active) I'd say between him & Loma

For all time, I realistically cant tell you - I don't have deep knowledge. Of the fighters Ive seen a lot of, it would be between Sal Sanchez & SRL. But I hate SRL, so Im gonna go with Chava.
