Fair enough. Although the only truly disputed victory he had was against Lara. At the end of the day I think it has more to do with how wide most of the judging has been.

What tier do you rank Lara? It's a tough sell because he looks C- against inferior opponents but shows his class against the elite.

And then the question becomes, can you really rate Canelo and Lara THAT far apart from each other.

I view him as anywhere from B to B+. He's simply not a complete enough fighter, which might be why he struggles against guys he should dominate.

In my view he'd be slightly below Canelo.

A- to B+ somewhere in between that range. Leaning more towards B+ because its hard for me to call him an A fighter even with the minus.

The reason I am a Canelo fan is because he is SKILLED and SCHOOLED. Just watch his sparring footage, you can actually see him working on little tricks and techniques. He's a skilled fighter that continuously adds more tricks to his game.

That's a no brainer tho. You have a fighter who has wins over elite opposition vs a relatively unproven fighter with one solid W.

I've been telling peeps for years the script on Canelo and it won't ever change.

Solid boxer-puncher with low ring IQ, bricks, for feet, and sub par conditioning. He is who he is, a limited fighter with a big fan base. Nothing more, nothing less.

I voted A- but I think he is somewhere between B+ and A-. Maybe a b.9 or something. He has fought people recently that have made him look better than he is imo but lots of fighters do that. He has some nice skills, a good combo puncher but I dont think he is in the elite group of fighters. Maybe he will prove me wrong.
