Wlad has short powerful punches, namely the left jab and right hand
Lewis tends to throw more hooks and uppercuts rather than just the usual short 1-2, hes more versatile
    So overall I'd say Lewis

There's some sparring partners that talk about it online. I think they said Wlad hit the hardest in their opinion, basically.

        1.Wlad
        2.Lewis
        3.Vitali

        imo

Though Lewis was the better fighter and would probably do a better job landing his power on elite opposition. Wlad is probably the hardest puncher ever in terms of a single shot. The speed, technique and size is hard to compete with.

There is a great article/thread floating about by a guy who sparred many of the top punchers in the 90's/00's (Tua, old Foreman, Wlad, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe etc), and he seemed to put Wlad above them all in terms of one punch ko power, though he said Lewis smashed him up aswell, and Foreman had the heaviest hands.

Lennox hit like a ****ing tank. He cowed me; I won the first round, and he literally broke my spirit and took my soul with a right uppercut and straight right hand in the 2nd. I tried to stay away, and forgot to punch. He never got me quite as good again, but I will never forget those two punches. When we sparred years later, he hit very hard. Distinctly unpleasant to be hit by the man.
Wladimir Klitschko hit me by far the hardest, though. I couldn't get past the jab, and his right hands hit like thunder. They reminded me of Lewis', but they were quicker and sharper. Wladimir staggered me regularly in sparring. There are literally whole rounds I don't remember. He also knocked me out with a left hook. Not down, out. Only time in my life I've seen canvas and not been able to stand up by 10 seconds.

Lewis and Wlad are 1A and 1B to me. Vitali was a little brutish but way more durable than Wlad, if it really burned in him like it probably still does in Wlad he would have been fantastic and if he would have had Steward guidung him.

I dont know I still get nightmares of that hail mary bomb Lewis landed on Rahman's jaw. Not sure I ever seen Wlad throw something that powerful

Lennox Lewis had a great array of shot selection! uppercuts, body-shots, straight right hands, over-hand rights! and hooks! which where all thrown with devastating power. Waldimir Kiltschko seems to favor just the straight right hand, and left hooks! in terms of share punching force? Waldimir Kiltschko may well punch harder! but overall Lennox Lewis when he was angry! was a much more devastating fighter!

Here is a fight which displays the shot selection that Lennox Lewis possessed! Manny Stewart tightened up Lennox Lewis's style, but when Lewis needed to be creative and instinctual! he always had that ability inside of the boxing ring....

Wlad is generally regarded as the biggest puncher of that bunch.

Amazing how many hard punchers Emanuel Steward developed though. He reckoned pads were a big impediment to fighters learning how to hit hard. He preferred to have his guys throw one shot with everything behind it, rather than 3 or 4 that had only half their power on them.

I had to sign in for this thread because I know a little about the subject.

I was in camp with Wlad before he fought Charles Shufford in 2001 in Vegas, he was I think in a co promotion with Top Rank for that fight.

I was in camp with Lennox Lewis in 2001in Vegas before the infamous first fight with Hasim Rahman, he was training there because he was filming Oceans 11 (where he also filmed a segment for the HBO show Arliss where I am in the ring in the background, sad to say my only claim to fame)

My experience was Wlad was the more athletic harder to hit boxer who if he hit you clean would hurt you, but Lennox was by far the more hurtful puncher.

Vitali I could not say, I never had the honor to be in the ring with him

All three of them hit damn hard. In my opinion the hardest punch any of them could throw would be Wlad's straight right hand.
