I'm a Warren fan but he was dominated. ZZ was constantly working Warren and Warren fought in spots and it was clear Warren didnt have answers for how to deal with ZZ. Dominant win by ZZ. Even more if ZZ was properly credited with at least one knockdown he served up to Warren.

But anyone that watched Ward vs Kovalev should know that it's quite possible to get knocked down in one round yet come back to win more of the remaining rounds and ultimately win the fight.

Ref also allowed Ward to use his illegal tactics again. Just like the ref allowed Warren to constantly clinch the life out of his opponent and not get a single point taken off. Hell, he didn't even get a warning.

no, no you didnt. The reff and judges did their best to get the W for you, with the 2 'slip' KD's/no -points or warning for 100000 clinches and one judges scoring it for you, be gracious in defeat.

It's possible to get knocked down in one round then come back to win the fight on the official scorecards.

We have two recent examples of that with Ward and now Zhakiyanov. That's all I'm saying.

Rau'shee has always fought like that.
He starts crazy strong and fast then slows down to the point that he doesn't do much or even anything. That's why he always lost at the Olympics.
By the way, Warren gave Rigondeaux a tough fight in their amateur days. I know there was a thread a weeks ago that said Rigo was never in any tough fights in the amateurs, so there you go. Warren was one of them.

Have you ever seen that fight?
I've read about it, but i haven't seen the footage.
