However, I do tend to agree that GGG should just accept possibly getting shorted and take the $15M (assuming it was a real offer). Beating Canelo would make him a bigger star.

If we knew Canelo didn't have any other options, Team GGG could drive a hard bargain and keep negotiating. Realistically, if GGG beats Jacobs, what other options at MW does he have?

But Im afraid that GBP wont want to risk their cash cow, and would gladly make a Cotto fight instead. It wont do as well as GGG fight, but the risk is sooooo much less.

We shall see. My prediction -- like someone else posted -- is that GBP announces that GGG is being unreasonable and they make a Cotto rematch.

Right, as if Alvarez tweets about wanting Golovkin. Anything associated with Golovkin in the frame of Alvarez were questions by Max Kellerman and press. Golovkin says ''Canelo canelo canelo...'' non stop even after Alvarez relinquished the belt.

Exactly, BBB side was the one that said he only wants the belt. He got his paper title and he still can't stop chasing the Canelo fight. His team and trainer can't shut up about it.
Wanting the fight and needing the fight are two different things. Canelo wants the fight but only on his terms, a position he has earned by taking short money to fight Floyd and Cotto to build up his name.
BBB side needs the fight as he can't make anywhere near the amount he is being offered by GBP anywhere else and he is in his mid thirties.
Canelo has time on his side and the options to make big money with a host of other fighters. If BBB side accepts the terms he gets the fight, if he feels its not enough he can go make 2-3 million fighting bums for the next few years. His choice.

You just contradicted yourself. You said Canelo was never made mandatory to any of the champs at 154 but said he could fight the Charlos or Andrade. Guess what class they fight in? 154. What I'm saying and I'm sure you will agree, is that if GGG unifies and continues fighting at 160, there's no way in hell that Canelo won't be ranked and made his mandatory in any of the alphabet organizations. He wasn't at 154 long enough to be made a mandatory for anyone. When he spent all that time at 155 and vacated the WBC belt, he vacated, dropped back to 154 and was pretty much snuck to the front of the WBO line to fight Liam Smith. You can't tell me Canelo going to continue fighting at 160 and never be made mandatory to GGG. The only way he isn't made mandatory is if Canelo pays no sanctioning fee to any of the organizations or GGG heads to 168.

You only pay sanctioning fees if you're going to fight for a title. I didn't contradict myself because even if those fighters fight at 154, Canelo doesn't have to be a mandatory challenger to fight them. Guess what, he was never made mandatory to fight any of the 154 champs. Canelo can jump over any mandatory and fight the champ. He could fight any of the Charlos or Lara for their titles because they would take that fight over a lesser known fighter. There's plenty of fighters at 160 that have fought there for years that have not been made mandatory to fight GGG. It's now about being mandatory to any title, he doesn't need to be made the mandatory to fight for a title. Just to humor you, Canelo is the WBO champ, he can vacate and made the #1 at 160 for the WBO belt and the WBC,IBF and WBA can't do anything about making Canelo a mandatory to their belt because they usually won't rank fighters who are champions to another sanctioning body. Go look at the rankings, Canelo is only ranked in the WBO at 154 as their champ.
