I agree with this. Hearns would rip the body to break a guy down to deliver his finishing punches. Kov is good, but he doesn't break a fighter down like that, he rather tries to wear them down with strength.

LaMotta? Duran? Ali? Arguello? Chavez? All had as many or more losses than Hearns. Number of losses doesn't really matter on a whole career. Hearns had Leonard all but beat when he ran out of steam. He cut Hagler and had him hurt and would probably have won had he not broke his hand. And the draw with Leonard was clearly a Hearns victory. Leonard said so. You can't really go by number of losses on a whole career. Pretty irrelevant. This modern age has warped people's mind on this subject.

The ****, Kovalev never gets sloppy? He looks like a bumbling fool out there at times. And his footwork is absolute garbage.

I have hard time putting Kov and Hearns in the same sentence.

He is very good by today's standards but Hearns was special.

Hearns was on a different planet in terms of speed but yeah, there's a similarity in how they like to set up their right hands.

Plus both guys like going for the KO if they can.

Sergey has not shown a flakey chin tho, Hearns did.

Oh I know these are different times. The 80s was a much more glorious time for the sport where the best like the fab four would actually fight each other, rather than negotiate until their super fights were watered down. And Hearns was very special, an ATG no doubt. However, I think the Krusher has more big fights ahead of him.

As i said his chin wasn't granite and he broke his hand in that fight. He was beating the **** out of Hagler until then.

                      S.O.G. vs Kal-El, Who's the Undisputed Champion?

How come Kovalev nor Ward, wants to become Undisputed Champions while Stevenson still hold the lineal WBC belt. Kovalev came with a thousand excuses to blind fans & stepped back from a face to face Live on HBO. On the other hand, Ward says Stevenson must ask Al to come out and play, later on he says Stevenson had opportunities "Why now?", but lately he says fighting Cleverly or Badou Jack would be great. Again, in different preaching words Ward says, fighting for the Undisputed title is a step back-Ward.
I wonder how come boxing fans didn't react to that lie!
Ward was using his preachers skills in his last UK interview; Ward does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar; a fake preacher.
Ward doesn't want to loose, Stevenson is a real threat for him or Kovalev, but team Kovalev did their trash talk-ish so well, that sheeps/mass followed the russian tongue.
Power don't come from a badge or a gun. Power comes from lying. Lying big and gettin' the whole damn world to play along with you. Once you've got everybody agreeing with what they know in their hearts ain't true, you've got 'em by the balls.
