    Sr is a ******.

The man fought once in 216, that too after a 7 or so month lay off. His last fight waso nce again after 7 or so months.

This guy makes it sound like these so called "thre back to back wars" took place in a period of 5 months like in the old days.

Vargas lost. He was never THAT good, just a tough guy with average ksill so he wasb ound to lsoe at some point. He's still in line for some good paydays, a rematch with Berchelt possibly, maybe Salido, heck who knows, even Loma.

    Jeez.

I've been saying this for a while. HBO exploits the **** out of these so called "action" fighters. They don't make nearly the amount of money as the top fighters in the game, take a ton of punishment and get recycled over and over again. It makes for good tv on a low budget.

Respects to chavez for telling it like it is but the man is an hypocrite! Not once did he mention this during the fight as a commentator and "friend". even more irritating is the fact he kept screaming "Ahhaa" or "haha" for every punch berchelt landed on vargas face! True story.

And three tough fights in a row is always a dumb idea, even if it pays out.
Chavez Sr is a Mexican warrior and he disagrees with you.

Once your stereotyped thats it.....it's been the same for provodnikov, rios , alvarados and if you go back further to the fernando vargas, gattis, wards, tapia then another era back to danny lopez, ray mancini and sibson fighters they have been used for the sole purpose of bringing raw excitement to our living rooms ..if your not quite the golden boy and you lose to a another guy in a slugfest then your proven goods to be involded in one again.....boxing can be a demon and can spit you out like chewed up bit of steak if your not keeping up

I kept saying it before this fight that De La Hoya abuses his Mexican fighters putting them in war after war with other Mexicans. For 1 these wars take a toll. And 2 a fighters skills dont grow facing the same type of opponent. If anyone in boxing deserved a soft touch after his first title defense it was Vargas. I was really hoping Vargas wouldve fought a Paulie Malanaggi type fighter, someone thatll challenge him but not bust him up. Oh well lets hope Berchelt is the truth.

What do you mean "so called action fighters?" They are, unless you mean Messican.
